But did we just get bought out? Or is Sly now the new sports editor for Willamette Week? And I love the historical articles (though if I'd never again thought about Qyntel and Ruben, it may be too soon), but was there a reason for it? 20th anniversary or something?
Reason for these types of hstorical pieces about of Portland: Walton Era: "I hate your team doctor. Fuck you. I'm leaving." Drexler: "I can't win a championship here. Fuck you. I'm leaving." Sabonis: "I'm coming. 'I'm going." "I'm coming." "I'm going." Roy: "My cartilage is all gone. I'm fucked. I'm leaving." Aldridge: "I'm a pampered prima donna. Fuck you. I'm leaving." There isn't a single historical era of the Blazers we can look back and be nostalgic upon. It always ends badly. And the rather polarizing nature of local journalism won't really find a narrative fans agree upon. They all have their agendas and POVs. They just release different articles on different eras based on whatever topic is hot.
You forgot to say the Fuck you part. @ripcityboy layed it out pretty clearly. Made it easy to follow.
If you'll noticed I skipped Sabas. I put one imperfection in an otherwise flawless overview of the past 45 plus years.
My friends wife is Lithuanian and she worships the guy. He's like a god over there. I just can't picture him cursing. Sorry.
Three players from the late 80s/early 90s Rip City team, Terry Porter, Jerome Kersey, and Kevin Duckworth, made Oregon their home.
I thought your post was about a point of view overall not about what players would actually say Fuck. My mistake.
I have a coworker that has never lived in this state and has apparently taken to some sort of vitamin wtf pills or something. As a longtime Oregon resident, I'm curious, should all the forum members be taking something so we aren't so sad? Or is it really the Trailblazers that are causing this serious heartbreak?
You forgot an era........last summer’s, The HCP is mean to me and posts blurry pictures, I’m leaving!
I look back fondly at 13 game win streak in 2007 and the Steve Kerr Blazers team. Didn't get anywhere but very fun to watch.
