But the midfield ace is upset both with his ban, and allegations that he's in any way a dirty player. He told Sky Sports, "It's frustrating to miss the games, but that happens in football. "I'm a fair player, but a tough player. I want to win all the ball in the midfield. "Sometimes referees give me a hard time, but I don't want to focus on that." As well as missing matches against Sunderland and West Ham United, the 24 year old will sit out the crunch clash with Arsenal later in December. Essien had already been booked six times this campaigns in all competitions, although this was his first red card since moving to Stamford Bridge from Lyon in 2005.</div></p>
