I'm excited to see us get out of the first round and go beyond the answer given to us by the national media.
I'm excited to watch the Blazers steam roll their way into the playoffs with a fully healthy team. I'm excited to see a full year of a healthy Greg Oden. I'm excited to see Cho add a good young point guard to the team to compliment our big four of Oden/Aldridge/Batum/Roy for years to come.
Oh, and in my fan future fantasy, as Kobe is cradling his head in his hands and Gasol is crying to the refs about who knows what, the Blazers, stroll off the court without words or celebration.
I'll be excited to have Mixum back! Excited for Roy to play an entire season healthy. Excited for Roy to once again be selected to the All Star Team and represent. Would get excited IF Lamarcus would leave his goofy smile at home and develop a Maurice Lucas smirk. Imagine LMA's potential if he were to be injected with an ounce or two of tenacity? I'm excited to see if he matures and with such maturation, gets serious! I'd be excited to see Miller traded. I love the guy - he's one cool dude, but it is clear that he and Roy will never mesh. Too bad for that. (Trade Miller and Bayless for Nash!) I'll be excited if one of Nate's new assistant coaches takes over the offense! I'll be VERY excited if we can come out of the shoot with a healthy Oden and win 15 of our first 20 games! (That would be cool!) And I'll be so excited if we can play the Lakers for the Western Conference title - win or lose - in 2011.
Greg is what this whole upcoming season is about! I get excited for him to be healthy, play about 75 games average 14/10/3 and lead us into the 2nd round!
OK, how about this: Just before the trade deadline, if Oden is healthy, the team gells, and it looks like the Blazers are actually a threat to win the west - Stern will roll into town on a purple-and-piss chariot pulled by fire-breathing swine, and demand that Roy be traded to Boston. Now THAT'S excitement!
I would love for Stern to hang out in Portland...alone... maybe in North East wearing an expensive Rolex. HCP, you know what to do man. Duty calls!
First of all, I don't want the rep. That said, I'm just excited to see what this now veteran team can do if it is healthy next season. I really think this is a 57-to-60 win roster, and I just want to see them be able to show it.
I'm excited to have one of the highest PER for a starting five unit that I can remember in recent memory (I think our starting five are around a combined 100 PER). I'm also excited to watch Oden now that he'll get to play big minutes with Batum and Miller (which will keep him out of foul trouble and provide some actual 30+ minute games which will put him on Sportscenter with regularity).
