These fans were no where to be found last season, but as soon as Boston began to show some light, these guys quickly showed up to support their "favorite" team. Pisses me off.</div> Yeah I agree with you there, same thing happen when the Clippers made it by the first round and there was all this Clippers fans showing up saying they were always Clip's fans but when in reality they weren't.
I can see talking the talk after playoffs but I'd stay humble until the playoffs or you'll just end up like Mavs fans on their face.
Not at all...we're a playoff team and I'm happy with that. I'm not saying we're going to win the finals..we just have a better fanbase than the Nets do. That's all I'm sayin...
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (playaofthegame @ Jan 13 2008, 03:46 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>That's an idiotic statement...especially considering last season I attended 7-8 games and watched almost all 82. I've been a fan of this team since around 1996 and I've been following them hard since around 1998 or 1999.</div> Probably explains why nobody yelled that at you then.
Keep in mind that the level of support that a fan can have for a team, and the overall level of support that fans have for a team, is a separate issue to the accessibility of a sports venue. But that sort of analysis might actually require some thought into what you're talking about.

Now if that arena was in Newark or New Brunswick I think attendence would be double if not tripled by the fact mass transit is so much better. Celtics fans tend to be BOSTON REDSOX FANS first. I love the city of Boston, think its a beautiful place and I've traveled there several times in the past few years including this summer and I rarely if never saw Celtics memorabilla or people wearing jerseys. The Redsox shit was everywhere and so was a lot of Patriots stuff. Personally I think the majority of Celtics fans are winners fans. Honestly few teams in this league have really good fans. I hate saying this but Knicks fans are a solid group...I mean there load and sometimes stupid but they still fill up MSG to watch a shitty team.

I can't help but to cheer for the Celtics. KG is still the man in Minnesota and with me. I'll probably be cheering for the Celts to go all the way this year.
Im actually cheering them a bit. I want KG those three to win a ring. i mean if the nets dont get to end(most likely), then i wouldnt mind rooting for the Celtics.

i said if the nets dont make it. If the Nets and Celtics played each other in playoffs, I would root for the Nets. But if the Nets get eliminated, I root for another team to kill boredom. I do it every year. The year the Heat won it all I was rooting for the Mavs for example when the Nets got eliminated.
