ill be honest. im not rooting for the celtics, because the raptors are a good team now. if the celtics had this team two years ago when the raps sucked, itd be easier to root for the celtics. its gonna be a fun last few months to the season then into the playoffs.

If there has been a more heartbreaking, more unstable franchise in NBA history, I'd like to know, because I can't find one. Look at all the losing seasons. The forgettable moments. The two runs to the Finals and coming in second twice. Trading KMart, "Whoop-de-damn-do", selling Dr. J to the Sixers, Drazen's death, Rick Barry leaving, Jayson Williams' antics, etc. That's not even counting the countless empty seats in the Meadowlands arena over the past 25 years while the Nets were getting blown out. And even though we've made the playoffs 6 straight years, it's still fustrating sometimes watching this team be eliminated by teams lead by Shaq, Kobe, TD, Chauncey Billups, DWade and Shaq, and LeBron and watch those teams either win championships or come close. Then when the Newark arena gets done a mere ten years after the first proposal, and you still have to get on the New Jersey Turnpike and park across Rt. 3 and walk across the tunnel in the cold (which for some reason got twice as long from last year) to watch the game in the worst arena in the NBA, because your team wants to make all the money off the advertising revenue because all the other tenants got smart and moved to Newark. And yet the Nets still have a good fan base. No, they're not nearly as large as the Celtic fan base, but for fans that have lived through even some of those moments before Jason Kidd arrived, they have to be considered as loyal as any fan base in sports, no matter how big or small they may be. So don't come on to this forum and tell us you put us to shame, when you have no idea how it really is here. Those kind of statements make you an embarassment to yourself and to fans from Boston, who are not bad fans at all.

Everything is within walking distances as the city is much more compact. The public transportation is excellent and honeslty the people are alot nicer than they are in other cities I travel to. I often go to NYC, Philly and Miami but honestly I always have a better time in Boston. If your ever there and looking for a place to find some girls check out Fanuell Hall...its crazy.
I have to say that Boston is one of the nicest cities, and I'd love to move there, if I could take the Yankees and Nets with me.

I loved Boston when I went up there about two years ago. So much nicer than NYC. We stayed in an apartment about 3 min away from Fenway, and the atmosphere was amazing. It was cold as hell too. Loved it.
