I'm So SICK & TIRED of Neil Olshey

How is this relevant to the discussion of where are team stacks up in the year of 2018 compared to the rest of the Western Conference in the year of 2018...?

It's relevant if you want a somewhat meaningful sample size. You can't judge a coach on one year. If the meaning of a nuclear missile were judged on one test firing, we'd never have an approved missile.

 

My point is we're the 7th or 8th best team in the west, just like we were last year.. and that had we had average injury luck, that's where we would've been, so the "3-seed" when we were 2 games ahead of 7th isn't really a valid reason to not make decisions because of our post-season disaster.

It's a natural inclination to reply in kind but I've never seen it do any good.

 

Your buddy quoted a post in regards to you that was simply about basketball and insulted me. Is that not wrong? Is it okay when he does it but not if I do it?

 

You need to meet him personally. He really is a nice guy up close and personal. In fact, I've never seen arguments break out among forum regulars no matter how much they bicker on line when they meet each other and shake hands.

I am a big believer in our get togethers.

Another thing I've seen work was in college at a Phi Delta Theta Smoker. They set of a very professional looking boxing ring and allow for challenge matches. Guys will punch each other silly and then go off and have a beer together. Love it. The one with the most solid punch wins the argument. I think the winner should buy all the beers for the loser (just a sneaky way for me to get a lot of free beer).

 

I don't doubt that. HCP is the same way (or so I hear). I'm hyper-competitive when it comes to basketball. Other than that, I think I'm a pretty nice guy and I'm pretty chill (I realize that actually saying this can make it seem false) but I dunno... I never have a problem with anyone outside of basketball. I can be a bitch on the court though. And in regards to watching and analyzing it, I can be the same way.

 

I think you may have made a great argument why Olshey should be fired. You seem to be agreeing with a lot of people that Stotts is a terrible coach. And yet Olshey hasn't fired him. I was kind of on the fence myself about Olshey; and I didn't really want too much change at once. But now when I see he refuses to fire him, when there is a very good replacement in Budenholzer available, I think Olshey has to go.

 

What if Bones did think he knows more than Olshey and Stotts; why is that your concern?

sure....losing the anger is a step towards achieving this.....habitual bitching isn't very constructive...baiting forum members even less so....talking about a thread topic gets lost along the way when certain people insist on making it personal on a daily basis....in my view, it's chased away some really entertaining forum members.
