I'll never get tired of Lillard. Not only is he a great player, but he's a great leader as well. That is rare. He is the heart and soul of the team regardless of how he's playing any particular night.
Let me tell yo a little story.... There once was this great dane named Pacca. Pacca loved to eat. Pacca pouts if he can't have a full stomach at all times. Its just his nature. He isn't content with a snack and then head back out to the yard to play fetch. Pacca just cant get enough food. Pacca wanders alot and the other dogs in the area thinks Pacca is a bit odd. He doesn't run with the others in packs and knock garage cans over and chase cats. He shows up randomly, often with a new type of hair style, hoping the other dogs didn't recognize him. More often than not it worked too until Pacca found his way to the food and would eat it all, regardless of it being unhealthy to overindulge or not. Eventually the other dogs came to think Pacca might have a schizophrenic eating disorder. They started distancing themselves from him and they would smile or even look at him, but often just move on to another part of town to mingle with other dogs. So as Pacca found himself wandering town by himself, he eventually ended up on the edge of town where the farms and creek lye. He came up upon a butchers barn and sniffed out a pile of left over trimmings. Well you could only imagine Paccas excitement considering his love of food and overindulging. He ate everything but the largest pc he found. He would have ate more if it was there, because he just cant be satisfied. So Pacca picked up the largest and last pc left and proceeded to head back into town to show off to the other dogs whn he happened across a bridge over the town creek. The moon was full that night and so the night was bright and as Pacca crossed the bridge, he saw a clear reflection of himself in the water. Pacca went berserk!!!! "How could this Be???" Pacca thought. "How can there be a BIGGER pc of steak in the water, than the one in my mouth????" And with that thought, he dropped the last pc in his mouth so he could grab the bigger pc he saw in the reflection. Pacca turned slowly and started walking home all sad because he had nothing. Instead of being content and embracing what he had... which was better than most, though definitely not the biggest and best steak in the world, he was left with nothing. His greed and insistence on having all the food in the world, cost him what most other dogs would have considered a nice respectable meal. The only question remaining is whther Pacca will learn from his tragic miscalculation, or will he be destined to an unhappy solitude forever seeking out the attainable... to eat all the food in the world?
To be fair, I don't believe he was saying AND. We could have drafted Giannis though and if the Blazer front office had listened to D69 (as they should have for the passed 12 years) they would have. I didn't say where he was saying that was Lillard's fault. Dame is a very good player who seems happy to be in Portland....which we should be thankful for. But the other side of the coin is his career long questionable shot selection which into his 6th year, doesn't look like it is changing anytime soon and just something we have to live with while he is here.
