It was a great game. Look during the second half for when Beckham is either throwing the ball in or corner kicking in the North East endzone. Everyone in the TA section was cussing him and flying the bird. He responded by grabbing his crotch toward us.

    We cookie doughed their ass!

It was cool that after the game both Beckham and Donavon were clapping for the crowd. No crappy attitude there... just a big salute to the fans.

Looks like I'm late to this Timbers' lovefest, but here's a prematch obseravation from Sean Francis of the Offside Rules:

Very impressive win. LA didn't even look competitive, which starting Chad Barrett and Adam Christman at forward will do to you.

Followed up by an unimpressive draw at San Jose.

It is a point on the road, but if this team is going to make a playoff run, these are the kind of games on the road I was thinking they would win.

I'm not too disappointed with the point. That was just an ugly game all around. But I'll take a point when our Central Midfield is our Right Back Palmer, and James Marcelin (in another poor evening) I do think we need to win one of the next two against Houston and SKC though... yikes

Not worried about the playoffs this year. We will gradually pickup the right players, like the recent trade with Houston. Next year I look for much bigger things and Kenny F ing Cooper will probably not be here.

Atleast it was an exciting goal from Gordon.

My eye is set on the Cascadia Cup and player development this year. The rest is gravy.
