Toko gave me permission to post his response, but I instead invite him to share his answer with the other two posters who asked him in public to defend the PUBLIC post in my signature.
No, I don't think so unless it was a fight from a Laker injuring a Blazer. I don't want anybody to get injured even Kobe.
Even if he wasn't asked, he posted in a public forum, it's fair game to use his post in a signature. Unless S2 hsa a rule against that.
Oh, my bad... I thought the question mark at the end of "Weren't you the same poster who came over yesterday and was making fun of Rudy's "brittle bones" while he was actually still in the hospital?" would have been an indicator.
Okay, with regards to my "brittle bones" comment. Of course I didn't mean that. I just wanted to give some blazers fans a taste of their own medicine. You know, the ones going on about how Ariza should be put down and how much of a dirty player he is, scum, low-life, thug etc. Do I really need to start digging for the various comments made by blazer fans in the heat of the moment to put it in a better perspective?
Ariza was acting like a dirty player, scum, and a low-life thug after the play. Rudy was just laying there and no one knew if he was OK as he was being carted off on a stretcher. An interesting point, though, admitting to taunt Blazer fans as one of their players was in the hospital. So, not the same thing, and why are you still here?
Honestly, I hate seeing players get injured on any team. These are the best 400 or so basketball players in the world, when one of them goes down it hurts the entire NBA product when he has to be replaced by a less talented player.
Butt-hurt blazer fan: exhibit A. Maybe if Roy wasn't such a thug that he immediately went after Ariza instead of checking on his own teammate, Ariza would have checked on Rudy.
My thread was geared more towards those posters who immediately started drinking hatorade the moment Rudy went down. I'm sure most people wouldn't wish injury on any player, but that just goes to show you there are bad apples in any fan base(might seem like more in some fan bases, but that's simply because of sample size).
That's a really dumb statement IMO. If I was Roy and I saw someone pull a foul like Aziza on one of my teammates and then prance around like he was some kind of hero when my guy is hurt I would have done a lot more then Roy. Thank God Roy didn't but Ariza is a fucking idiot and douche bag scum of the earth for what he did. Even if it is true and he didn't realize how hurt Rudy was he would have at least waited and checked before acting like a complete foul. He also should have made a real apology which he hasn't really done. When your down 30 points after 3 qtr's what is the reason to act like that after making a fucking foul like he did?
So Blazer fans calling out Ariza are "bad apples". What does that make the person mocking the player put in the hospital by Ariza?
Talk about projection. He didn't have time to do anything before Roy the thug descended on him....after that, both he and Roy were too busy shoving and yelling at each other. Now that I think about it, all blazers went to Ariza instead checking up on Rudy, their own teammate....perhaps in some ways, they take after the JailBlazers after all.
I don't need perspective... I didn't say anything close to that and most of the other Blazer fan posters didn't either. Yep, a handful Blazer posters said some things in the heat of the moment on the Laker board as well but it was right after the game and they didn't stay long... you guys even complained about us not "flaming" the board. Now it's two days later and yet you're still here trying to keep things stirred up. We aren't a lock for the play offs yet like you guys are... We have an important game against the Mavs tonight, let's move on. Seriously, LA has a game tonight too and the Blazers need your team to get their act together and kick some Rocket ass... maybe you could show your support of the Lakers for a win tonight on the Laker board. From what I saw Monday they need all the help they can get on road.
Just curious, but how old are you? I'm guessing 15 or 16. Anybody who had actually spent any time watching basketball can recognize a frustration foul when they see one. Ariza INTENDED to knock Rudy Ass-over-teakettle. If it offends you that people are calling him on it - that speaks volumes about the kind of person you are.
That brings up another point. Many Blazer fans wanted Odom to be suspended....which really lowers our chances of beating Houston, something you should dearly desire. This is another case where some fans hate the Lakers more than they love their own team.
That's bullshit watch the video again. They went after Ariza because of how he was acting. I do agree the Blazers didn't go over to Rudy but most were to upset with Ariza and the others were on the bench. If Joel would have been in the game I would hate to think would have happen to Ariza when he started acting like a idiot. I'm glad he wasn't or I'm sure he would have a at least a few games suspension.
