Mikes was great, but isn't there only one location left? And they have gone down a notch over the years. Last time I ate was I think two year ago. Little greasier than i the time before.
Ha! I don't think it takes any guys to run it right now without a drive thru, now that I think about it.
I think the difference is, most of us don't go bragging about it to everyone, or wish there was more of them. You talk to most Californians, and they think In-N-Out is the greatest thing ever. Also I think the difference is people like Burgerville, but I don't know anyone who makes a point of taking people there. I had 3 friends purposely take me to In-n-out because I had never had it before. If someone said to me they never had Burgerville, I'd probably go "oh, neat. "
Yeah, the Milwaukie location (I think that's the original one) is much smaller than the Oregon City one. It's much more old fashioned and I can see why people think it was greasier.
Not sure every S & S is the same but the 2 I've to down here have the best fries I've ever had. (skinny shoestring fries)
Those aren't my favorite type but they were ok. The burger was hot on a cold cold cold bun with almost frozen jalapenos...might have been ok with a different crew working.
I taught my cousins from Missouri about Burgerville and now whenever they’re out here they thirst it. they go bananas over the strawberry shortcake.
5 guys us ok. Every time I go there my bag is about to break because of all the grease. their fries with malt vinegar doused on top though is off the richter.
I've only been to 2 Steak & Shakes down here but both locations only allowed 2 orders at the drive thru...if you had 3 orders or more you had to go inside...made absolutely no sense to me. When I asked why they had that crack head policy I was told it was to speed things up for the drive thru. But even with just 2 orders the drive thru was ridiculously slow.
