On the Tualatin facebook page people are P-I-S-S-E-D about this news. Like 100% of the comments were negative. Not like that'll stop it from happening. Luckily I moved down south... to Wilsonville.

I love In n' Out, been eating there for years. But it's hard to justify waiting in the crazy long lines in Keizer. On one pandemic boring day we drove down there on a whim. 3 hour wait! Forget it. Found a 5 Guys and headed home.

What would the one at Bridgeport be like? They are a victim of their own success.

And how will we even go to Bridgeport now, with lines snaking around for miles?

Mashita’s Teriyaki is the best food in Tualatin! I practically lived off it skating the Tualatin park back in the day.

I want testimony from someone I know. So, why can't you name a portion of the best hamburger restaurants because I can't find them. Like I said, I've only know two that were really outstanding and they are both long gone. Gene and Joe's is now Tebo and nothing like the original Gene and Joe's. The other great hamburger restaurant was at the Northern end of Terwilliger near Dunaway park. It was great until a Korean family bought it and ran it into the ground. It was then losing pill hill business rapidly and had to close. Now, they've even torn down the building.
I've tried Helvetia tavern and Stammtisch burgers also Killer burger.
No, my burgers must be flame broiled and no shredded lettuce or onion bits and pieces.
At home we flame broil my hamburgers and pile on a nice thick slice of sweet onion which right now is fantastic Vidalias. I no longer put cheese, lettuce, tomato or pickle on the burger because it makes it too hard to handle and get in my mouth. I'm too old to be fighting with my burger to eat it. I eat a naturally fermented dill pickle on the side. I usually have a few potato chips because proper french fries are difficult to make at home. We only eat great fries every once in a while. Also, I really need a toasted bun.
Now, name two or three places that serve a hamburger like that.

Pre-corona, there were always long lines at Shake Shack in NYC? What's so great about it? The best burger is at the Burger Joint, a small secret hole in the wall behind the registration desk at the Parker-Meridian Hotel.

    TERIYAKI EXPRESS on 72nd.

But yeah, Mashitas was pretty good. I just loved Teriyaki Express from my childhood as they had one on Scholls Ferry Road I used to hit up for their combo plate.

I wasn't that impressed by the Burger Joint. It was an inexpensive burger, but pretty pedestrian. I guess it is more fast food (even though the lines are usually long as hell). I actually stayed at the Parker last time in NY and I didn't even bother to go in to get a burger since I had it already. I did grab a burger at Judge Roy Bean down the street, it was really good.

Peter Luger Burger is my favorite NYC burger.

This thread seems so 2019, before we knew the plague, the jack-booted thugs, and the murder hornets were going to kill us all.

    Ah, sweet innocence.

By the way, I can get exactly what I want at home and I don't have to go out and pay good money for crap.

Paco's Tacos in Culver City or near LAX? That's pretty bad.

Best spot I've been recently is Teddy's Red Tacos in Venice.

Birria tacos that they dip in the liquid. Fucking dope shit.

The flavor. The beef they use is tasty. The buns they use are tasty. The best fast foodish hamburger i've ever had. We go there like 3 or 4 times when we are in Vegas. Some people like the fries, but i'm not impressed with the fries.

Five guys has cajun fries that are awesome.

In-n-Out you need to get the animal style fries, then pop a banana pepper over it.
