Yes, because trading a couple 2nd round picks is on par with hiring a new coach or Gm. :devilwink:

But it also takes ownership and management which mediocre man doesn't think this team has. :bgrin:

Wait we sign Jordan and Matthews but trade NY Harkless? They don't want salary for next year man. Any idea with salary going to them next year is stupid unless their name is Anthony Davis, Kyrie Irving, or Kevin Durant. Besides that's not even how trades work.

Matthews is waived and Jordan is traded for Harkless or Leonard. I only said that Matthews and Jordan become Blazers and Harkless is sent to NY - I did use the word “trade” on purpose - I’m only trying to have fun. The “Fire OLSHEY” thread is for most people on here

It's really simple actually and it all goes back to them signing Curry to a deal not much more than Meyers Leonard got and then him turning into an MVP. Their ownership is willing to pay the tax too.

That started it but I think just about everyone on that team not named Kevin Durant is making less than they could somewhere else.

Your wording is a bit odd. Tobias Harris for great picks and filler is a bit more accurate, don't you think?

    what "great picks"?

sure, the Miami pick might be a nice one and it's unprotected. This season, right now, Miami has the 15th pick, a non-lottery pick. Miami has always been well-managed, so expecting a collapse of the team is unrealistic. And, last night, Miami beat Portland in Portland with a starting line-up younger than Portland's. Finally, that Miami pick is 3 drafts from now, a near eternity in NBA time. By the time it rolls around, it could be a 5th pick, but odds are it will land much later than that. It's not a "great pick", it's an unknown pick

and even if there are no protections on the 2020 Philly pick, it's almost certainly going to be a late 1st, maybe in the 25-30 range

in other words, what you're calling great picks could be an 18th pick and a 27th pick...for a guy playing near all-star level

I used to be in the camp of in NeO we trust but i have to admit i have one foot out that door and maybe the toe of the other foot now too cause this team is not built very good and the fact the team can contend is amazing considering this and for as much crap as some give Stotts and prolly correctly he has turned a ragtag group into a mid seed playoff team.
