That's where I disagree: I think they've shown that Boogie doesn't fit with them. Boogie was a monster without AD, and vice versa, but they weren't better with both. They really jelled when he went down and they traded for Mirotic. I think they might feel they HAVE to re-sign him, but you can bet there's a chunk of their front office who would be happy if they didn't. I think a sign-and-trade for someone would make a lot of sense, but who? Kevin Love? Kawhi Leonard?
Yeah, my comment was actually in jest. The way we were playing going into the playoffs--and have played these first two games--it doesn't appear that there was a good matchup.
Jrue is only about 27 and even Rondo is still not washed up at 32. I just heard a report that Jrue has had some problems with both the health of himself and his wife which are now cleared up. This might explain why he's suddenly doing better. They also have an NFL team, the Saints.
That's why BlazerBeav said the Pels are not even #2 in New Orleans. Saints. LSU Football. Then maybe the Pelicans.
Dame has gotten open shots and floaters that he's just not hitting. I don't think he's locking him up so much as Dame isn't hitting like he usually does. When Dame is on, it doesn't matter who is guarding him, he dominates. That is why he will be All NBA First Team. After all, where was Jrue's lockdown defense when Dame scored 41 points in our last game at Smoothie King Center?
