<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Nick Van Exel will not play in tonight's exhibition game in Reno against the Seattle SuperSonics because of a sprained left knee, becoming the latest Warrior slowed by injury during the preseason.

The Warriors were scheduled to leave for Reno this morning without Van Exel, who is listed as day-to-day with an injury apparently sustained near the end of Monday night's two-hour practice at the Arena in Oakland.

The starting point guard did not practice Tuesday, and the Warriors were concerned enough that they had Dr. John Belzer examine Van Exel in Oakland. Van Exel has had surgeries on both knees, including an arthroscopic procedure on his right knee last November that cost him nine games with the Dallas Mavericks. </div>
