In what situation, against which team and which player.

4 completely different players with different skills and styles of play, all 4 could end up being perennial allstars. All 4 are valuable to the team as they give Nate incredible flexibility to adjust mid-game. I'd like to see him use all 4 fairly equal minutes.

You don't think Batum is better than Rudy? Do you think Batum is a better defender than Rudy? If so, that's really all you need.. their offensive production is similar, including their three point percentages.

from what I recall of Ellis, he was a deadly catch and shoot player and often got free coming off picks. He was also the focus of the Sonic's attack. While Rudy isn't nearly as physically imposing as DE, he does have excellent catch and shoot ability. In Euroball he had the ball in his hands much more then in PDX and was more of a playmaker. Him being more of a playmaker was Nate's stated plan at the start of last season, but whether it was because of injury, attitude, or lack of skills/athleticism, he came up very short of effective in that role. Dude did have back surgery mid-season which is my best guess at the main culprit.

Going forward, should he focus on what he's proved he can do (shoot) or is his heart set on being a more complete offensive threat like in Europe? Regardless he's going to need to be healthy and mentally focused if he's to max out his talent. That may prove to be a challenge as Portland has already signed his replacement.

Pierce, the most underrated Sonic of all time, was driven off of the team by Payton, the most overrated. So Bob replaced Pierce with Kendall Gill, and later prepared the Hersey Hawkins trade...the list of talents Bob got for the Sonics goes on and on, and that's just some SGs...

WE ALL KNOW THAT BOB WHITSITT IS VERY GOOD AT ACQUIRING TALENTED NBA PLAYERS!

I don't think anybody's disputing this point, so will you please stop trying to prove an argument that has no opponents? It has become quite irritating.

Awesome, that's the way in which Bickerstaff etc. might be absolute gems. They are older, one of them was an authority figure in Nate's formative years as an NBA player. These guys are probably some of the only guys on this rock that might get Nate to see the error of his ways. And when it inevitably works Nate will listen to them more. I was happy with the oldsters being brought in for that reason. This could be gold gentlemen.

Yeah no joke, I greatly preferred the "Iceberg dead ahead sir!!!!" "Now isn't the time to make adjustments full speed ahead!" fully ruddered ship of KP. He was a god at building the foundation, but never seemed to commit to adding floors beyond the basement. Regardless, it's history now.

Also, KP's agent wasn't just the "wrong" guy, that's a bit like saying Lynette Alice "Squeeky" Fromme listened a bit too much to the "wrong" guy. Warren LeGarie is super bad news to say the least.

What an absolute pile of shit.

BTW, Didn't you tell me to let the Pritchard thing "go" the other day.... Even though I wasn't even talking about him?
