<span class="titolo">Investigation Underway As Riise's Pay Goes Public</span></p> <span class="sommario">Liverpool have launched an investigation after John Arne Riise's payment details found their way onto the internet showing that he earns £139,634 a month.</span></p> The Reds' and the player are said to be mystified about how such a personal document had been obtained, but have promised to pursue the issue. As well as detailling the Norwegian international's earnings, the document also showed his national insurance number, home address and appearances bonusses. "We are taking the matter extremely seriously and we are investigating," said a Liverpool spokesman. "It must have been stolen but the player simply doesn't know how it has happened. "I can assure you that John Arne Riise is not in the habit of throwing payslips out, it's clearly been stolen and taken without his permission." As well as showing that he earned £4,000 in appearance money, Riise was also given a raise of £15,384 for performances in the Champions League. All that was in addition to the £82,413 take home over the course of one month that he earned, while £55,508 was paid to the tax man and £65 was taken off for food.</p> <span class="titolo"></span></p>
