I don't think Aminu's career should be brought into question, but the Blazers should at least have a LGBT community advocate talk to him and have him make an apology if necessary.

Anti-gay sentiments are the bigot's "fall back insult." They know that racism is not tolerated in our society but in the locker room you can sometimes get away with homophobia.

And I will never buy the "oh, they didn't know any better they were young and stupid" defense. As someone who was bullied to the point I was pulled out of school.....it's when we are young and helpless that we are most vulnerable. Young gay teens have the highest suicide rate of at risk youth. I watched a YouTube video of a Texas councilman that was absolutely heartbreaking recalling his past.

We don't tolerate racist dialog of any form..... Why should we tolerate homophobia?

We shouldn't tolerate it but it's going to exist just like ignorance will exist. In the words of Charles Bukowski...people are just not good to one another. I'd say racism is in fact tolerated in certain demographics...not that that makes it right but the Civil Rights movement of the 60's is still a work in progress. Pass the torch and keep your fingers crossed

The proper old testament punishment would be for him to be stoned.

Good Old Buk...... you'll have to quote him again when we have discussion about racism or spousal abuse, Riverman.

Yeah. I did too. For better or worse. John Fante, his mentor, was much better. "Ask the Dust" and "Brotherhood of the Grape" should be read in schools as far as I am concerned. You don't get more real life than that.

My guess is that the reason is because women interact with children more often than men do.

Sly, you can edit the fuck you part without deleting my entire post. WHY ARE YOU CENSORING FACTS!?!?!? Sexist female entirely ignores the fact that Boko Haram killed boys, so to make a sexist assertion. I point this out and I get censored? Fuck this. I'm out. Crandc routinely makes sexist comments and is held to a lower standard. Fuck this bullshit.

Okay. That's a good excuse. I thought I just had my facts wrong, because women are only ever victims, right, Crandc and Rasta?

I see you throwing personal insults around in two different threads and my only thought is to try and end it quickly before things turn ugly. You're a smart guy, I'm positive that you can address what Crandc said without insulting her. (Which you just did again, BTW.)

I'm sorry that you feel I am censoring you but please stop with the insults and name calling.

Am I the supposed "sexist female"? I was not listing all the crimes of Boko Haram. Just one well known case in Nigeria as I am sure everyone else realized.

I wonder if a certain poster ever used the word sexist to describe any male?

Sounds like an attempt to deflect attention by making this about " sexist females " rather than homophobic males.

Sly, women can't be sexist? I would describe her comments as sexist, therefore, CRANDC IS A SEXIST! She wears it on a sleave, yet we aren't allowed to call her out on it. Rich.
