Hard to laugh when he's our best player on the floor.

(FYI: he's shooting 44% from 3 over the last ten games and is our second-best rebounder.)

Yes. But his fuck ups on offense are hilarious. I'll take my joy where I can.

Same. My brain knows they need to lose, but my heart still hates it.

The Spurs game was my line - left at halftime and don't plan to use my tickets for the last ones.

Really surprised how many people stopped following their favorite team. I think I saw ONE person in here say they are still watching. VERY surprised by this.

Which IMO is exactly why those who have pleaded in the past for a total rebuild were misguided. The theory that the only way to win a championship is by getting top draft picks over the course of a few years is all exciting in theory, but if fans stop watching just after half a season, how is the franchise going to survive if it happens for years? Now I realize that this half-season is a bit of an extreme because we are literally sitting our 2nd team in order to tank, but nonetheless, losing gets real old. I just don't think our small market fan base could handle a long rebuild. Let's hope our GM makes the right choice in June.

Define "following". The reason we've stopped watching is because it's too painful. If we didn't give a shit, it wouldn't be painful.

Jerry West literally could not bring himself to watch Lakers' playoff games because it was such torture. Are you saying he no longer "followed" the Lakers?

Look: we'd all watch a shitty team if it had young studs on it who have a chance to become really special. But right now we're watching guys who are unlikely ever to be full-time starters in the NBA. They're trying (Jennifer) but they just don't have a chance.

Yes, I alluded to the fact that this team was an extreme. And yes we would watch young studs who might become special. But for how long? Years? Very doubtful.

we’re still here. still following. but be honest, this isn’t our “favorite team”. this is a mix of mostly G League players, not real NBA players at this point.

besides, the broadcasting crew and cameras are weak, make watching this G League team unbearable, FAMS!

I've still been watching. Missed a few games because of vacation, and other things, but still gives me something to watch. Don't have league pass, so not switching on to other broadcasts. It's ugly, but it is what it is. Every once in a while we get a fun competitive game sprinkled in.

I think we would watch it for years. This situation is a pretty big anomaly. We have a bunch of guys on the roster that are very entertaining to watch but they're all sitting right now. If we went into a "full rebuild" which would never happen because we already have a 22 year old who is able to play at a near all star level but if we did go into a full rebuild we would have a bunch of fun young talent to watch, even if it was as bad as these guys are we would still be interested in them because they would be our team's future. These guys just aren't our future so it's hard to be invested in them but I am one of the few in here that is still watching games, I've just been busy for the last few weeks so I've only been catching like one out of every three. Trendon not playing now really hurts the entertainment level of the games for me but it also probably makes it even easier for us to lose these upcoming games against other tanking teams.

I watched and loved the Brandon Roy era rebuild.

    This is not that.

    Really?

The 2004–05 NBA season was the 35th season for the Portland Trail Blazers in the National Basketball Association.[1] During the offseason, the Blazers acquired Nick Van Exel from the Golden State Warriors and signed free agent Joel Przybilla. The Blazers played around .500 for the first two months, but started to struggle losing 11 of their 15 games in January. Head coach Maurice Cheeks was fired midway through the season with a record of 22–33. He was replaced by general manager Kevin Pritchard, who acted as interim coach for the remainder of the season, in which the team went 5–22.

.500 for the start of the season, then pure tank to finish it, sure seems like what we're going through here.
