Is anyone else physically sick over the loss?

This is the first playoff loss I didn't feel bad about at all. I think the reason is that I've seen how prepared and driven the players are, how they are overcoming everything thrown at them, and the fact that Stotts is clearly out coaching the other team. Houston had to win it on a no-call, and the subsequent (sweet pass by Lin IMO, BTW) three by the D-League rookie was a good shot that nobody, including himself, probably expected to go in. Also, the fact that only three teams in Houston's shoes have ever won the series before gives me great faith. Not that we haven't seen epic collapses before, but the drive, motivation, and maturity amongst our boys doesn't seem to allow that.

I enjoyed the hell out of all 3 games and even in a loss, I was proud of the team and impressed with the effort. LA makes that last jumper or Nico makes the 3 and we win that game, just didn't happen. Nico for a stretch really put this team on his back and kept us in it. Harden just made a lot of ridiculous shots that looked like prayers at the end.

Funny, had it been against any other team I would have cheered that 3. A D League guy no one's ever heard of, you know he's got something now to tell his grandchildren some day.

I can't eat, I can't sleep, I've been tearing out my eye brow hair. I'm tempted to dose my face with rubbing alcohol and light a match.

I've been pretty grouchy since the end of the game. I'm just annoyed because it felt like we pissed it away. We missed several great, wide open looks that could have put the game away. We wasted a few key possessions by standing around the entire shot clock, and we passed up some good shots for crappy shots during key possessions. Then the Rockets have some random scrub pick up the ball with 11 seconds left and he makes a 3 to win it for them. Lucky bastards.

On the bright side, we finally have some tape to study and make adjustments for. After we won the first two games, Houston had a lot of material to prepare for, while we would've been happy to keep doing the same things we had done in the first two games. Now that we see how they are game planning us, we can make the adjustments. Hell, if we just rebound the ball a bit better on the defensive end, that game isn't close. It seemed like we would work really hard to get a stop, only to relax when the ball went in the air allowing Houston to track down the rebound. Our intensity seemed to come and go. Oh and we need to switch up our pick and roll defense. /rant

No killer instinct at all? How did we win the first two games then? Jordan's Bulls in 1993 were up 3-1 in the Finals and he guaranteed they'd win in 5 but they lost Game 5 and it took them 6. I'm 1998, his Bulls had a 3-1 lead again and lost Game 5. I suppose Michael Jordan has no killer instinct?

That's just a stupid comment. A team with no killer instinct would have folded when things got tough. Instead, they rallied around each other and almost pulled out a game that would have put them up 3-0 against a very good Houston team.

Very disappointing, but not surprising, that you would post this nonsense.

    Haha!

I already torched my face. I have a killer instinct, though!

As for the Bulls-Pistons comparisons, Sly, those series were in the second and third round. It would be hard to swallow if we don't even win a series after winning two straight on the road.

Total heartbreaker but you can't win them all, I'm not really a doom and gloom type though so I'm still pretty pumped to be up 2-1

My point is still valid. The harder the series the more the team learns and grows.

I'm sure I'm in a very small minority, but should the Blazers lose this series, yet all in close games, I'd still view it as a positive. This is supposed to be fun, people!

So you're admitting you're the Donald Sterling of Blazer fans.

Not at all. Huh? I picked the Blazers in 6. The world won't end should Portland lose a tough 7 game series against a team like Houston, though.

A few days ago, you said the winner of Game 3 would win the series. I said no and explained why and you got mad at me and said it was your OPINION.

Agreed. I still think we win on Sunday. I think it's Blazers in 6... if we lose in 6 or 7 it's not the worst thing in the world. It's a helluva experience against a damn good team. Anything past this series is gravy... next year I believe we have a damn good chance of making a deep run in the playoffs.
