Is Banton a keeper or is he this season's Kevin Knox?

Unless there's a hot prospect at #5 who plays a position of need, I'd be more interested in packaging the #5, #13, (any or all of our late picks), and a body, such as Brogdon and/or Thybulle, for an actual player. Probably take a three team trade?

I was thinking about something along those lines, but was struggling with who the wing target could/should be. Someone like Jaylen Brown, if Boston wanted to shed salary, but outside of a colossal flameout by them, can't see them wanting to break it up just yet. Zion? Mikal? Markannen?

Yeah, what I'd like and what might be possible might not match. Like usual.

What looks like the blazers trying to get longer and banton fits that bill. One or two these players might not be on this team next year Grant Simons and brogdon.

I've watched a couple of Remix games with Knox and being compared to him is not a bad thing. The guy can flat out hoop and has a nose for the basket. I love having the Remix be our G league team. It's working really well keeping our 3rd stringers in game shape and developing our younger talent. Banton and Knox are both a good problem to have either way. I don't think comparing Banton to Knox is a knock on Banton at all.

Unfortunately his 44.0% from 2 isn't so good.

Banton is a wild dribbler like the gangly Will Barton. Am I the only one who noticed that as soon as Barton was kicked out of the NBA, Banton appeared? Everyone else is falling for the 1-letter change?

Could be worse, like Scoot’s 41%.

You are awars the all-time a
Are you aware that the avg FG% (all-time) for an SG is 44% and a PG is 43.4%? seems like Banton is right at that average

I think he's referring to just his 2 pt FG%, whereas those are the overall FG%'s.

Unless I am reading the link below wrong is 2pt FG% this year so far is 44.9%, that includes Bos and Portland.

I mean the odds are stacked against him being a real contributor on a winning team. If Boston gave him away like that it says a lot to me. They KNOW talent. I hope he defies the odds! Stranger things have happened

I had to check but found Barton signed with a Russian team and was sent back for a failed medical and has now signed with a team in Granada Spain for the last stretch of their season.
