So you admit that you were wrong, since you ignore where Wheeler qouted Roy's "frustrated and disappointed" text?
I'll type it again in hopes you'll read this time: a supposed "text message to Brian Wheeler" doesn't mean anything. 100% hearsay.
So you are calling Brian Wheeler a liar? It's not "hearsay" when he cites a text as a source. Is Wheeler lying about it?
I'd be curious to know whether Roy thought that message was "on the record." If those words were intentionally chosen to send a public message, that's worrisome. If it was just someone venting in what they thought was an off the record/private conversation, I would take them with a grain of salt.
ZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...................................................... If you look around, there are numerous "AP sports columnists of the year", including one guy who has won 20 straight times. So how is it? The AP has numerous "sports columnists of the year"- just how they do it is of no interest to me, but Canzano is still a liar and a cheap shot artist hack.
I am as well. There is nothing worse than reading the quotes from Vulcan about subsidizing the Blazers when they signed the shitty Comcast package that only gets them coverage on one TV carrier. They were the one that made the bad decision. Now they are the one's that can deal with only being available in a percentage of the households in Portland. You want more TV revenue and coverage? Sign the right contract and quit blaming he city of Portland for your problems. We didn't sign it. You did. Face the facts. TV revenue's are the biggest money maker for teams. Not fans at home games.
I'm not calling Wheels a liar. I'm simply saying there's no way we can verify whether it's legitimate or not...we just have to take his word for it, and that's not at all admissible. And that's completely besides the point I'm trying to make anyways. I'm not saying that Brandon is NOT frustrated or disappointed. Maybe he is, I don't know. All I'm saying is that John Canzano misrepresented what Brandon said in a radio interview and completely twisted his words into something that raised the stir that it did. That's it. And Canzano really should be disciplined for it: it's not fair to the athlete, it's not fair to the Blazers organization, and it's not fair to the fans. He owes them all an apology at the very least. I guess this is just another example of the sad state of most of the media these days. Be careful of what you read in the news, folks. Don't just run along with the other sheep. Ask questions. Look up sources. Be informed.
