you're fighting a losing battle there. the majority of the blazers posters have no interest in posting anywhere but the blazers site and a lot have little interest in other teams in general unless the blazers are playing them or if the results of their game effects the blazers in some way.
Indeed but I just wanted to clarify how the rest of the site functions, no one really goes to any specific forum so the fact that there are many dead ones doesn't matter to them.
You're beating a dead horse bro, no use. And I apologize if anyone here really like horses...I just felt like using the phrase, lol.
LMAO! OMG, I wish I'd have known about that smiley for my post! That's gotta be one of the, if not the best smiley I've ever seen, hahahahahahahahahaha. Repped for the awesome smiley.
Again, I guess my problem isn't with you in particular. To me it usually seems like people just "want to make us take off the homer glasses." That's not a debate, it's saying "I'm right, you're wrong and your judgment is clouded." It's an attack on a poster's ability to form an objective opinion, and predictably, it doesn't do anyone any good. And that works well on the internet.... IMO, people in general don't change their opinion, especially because of a heated debate, and especially on a forum whose subject attracts competitive people. Even if someone might eventually change their position, that change is an internal realization that comes well after the fact. So it essentially comes down to agreeing to disagree, something we should all probably do more of.
Are you sure about that? Aren't you the same guy that was just trying to drum up traffic in the other team forums for the "good of the site"? And now you expect me to believe you don't care if the community that generates 80% of the traffic in all NBA forums combined just up and left? I find that hard to believe. Where, oh where did I, or anyone else ask you to beg for forgiveness? I didn't. I never even mentioned anything about forgiveness. Do you feel you need to be forgiven? If not, why bring it up? Nice attitude. Still, if I leave it won't be because of you. It will be because the rest of the Blazers regulars have left and gone elsewhere - for whatever reason. BNM
do you seriously think you come in here with no bias? you show up with a big sig of bynum and the same in your avitar and some people in here immediatly think troll because of some of the other laker mods. and i'm sorry but you take your bias where ever you go. if i go to the laker forum, even if i'm trying to be on my best behavior, i'm still going into with a blazer fan's slant. no way around that. what you are saying is like listening to a news channel telling you they are giving you the news with no bias, impossible.
Re: About my thread Lakers being Suspended I don't follow your "logic". The Lakers are more prone to be ejected/suspended because they've had more ejections/suspensions than any other team recently. What part of that do you fail to comprehend? BNM
and i have to agree with others on here about going to other teams forums. it seems like a chicken vs egg type of situation. i could go post that Kidd seems to be well past his prime in the dallas forum, but it wouldn't elict 1/2 the respones i could get here in the OT forum, in half the time. why go post somewhere where there is no one posting?
I never said I wanted to "drum up traffic", I'm the guy that wants the site to have more activity all around rather than have people just stay in their forums making tons of OT threads. But obviously some people don't understand the point of a sports forum if you are just going to use it as a Blazer forum. W/e I'm done trying to get a point through if people don't want to listen.
people are listening, they just disagree with you. Your welcome to your own opinion about how a sports forum should work, now try accepting our own. This is a difference in opinion, not a failure to "understand the point."
Re: About my thread Lakers being Suspended The Lakers aren't "prone" to shit. There's only 2 players on the Lakers that have been suspended in the last 4 years, and only twice each. That's not a pattern of behavior. Again, tell me why "recently" is defined as 4 years ago? why not take it 5? could it be because then the Lakers aren't the ones with the most suspended players "recently"?
I think you're not giving the others here credit though. If you make a thread about Kidd at least the other non-Blazer fans will take a look at it and surely add their input.
See, you're judging the guy before you even read his posts. How is this fair if you judge someone's view as bad b4 you even read what it's about?
