This is what makes him so great, IMO. The man is a physical freak of nature.

Winning a ring is no way to measure a players greatness. It just isn't. How can you say Malone, Stockton or Barkley any lesser of players for not winning one.

It's funny to me to imagine players like Elgin Baylor, Oscar and Bird trying to stop LeBron. The guy is a PG almost as big as Karl Malone.

I open my mouth, and the words come out.

"Yeah, Malone was really good, but he didn't win shit. Tim Duncan on the other hand..."

If they played with 1980's refs, LeBron would have a lot fewer teeth after they were through with him.

So is Robert Horry better then Karl Malone or Barkley? Is Derrick Fisher better then Stockton?

Maybe, but he'd have gotten 25/7/9 on 'em!

Rings ain't everything, but they are a tie-breaker.

Hell, Robert Horry is way better than LeBron when the games are close in the 4th.

Again, tie-breaker. If Adam Morrison did enough shit to be in the OMG Greatest conversation, his rings would trump.

Depends on which era's rules the game was played under. LeBron is amazing but you stick him back in the 70's, 80's or 90's and it would take him a little while to get used to how physical the game is. Lucas or Malone in their prime would punish and freak the shit out of Lebron. He ain't faced anything like that in today's NBA.

He is as big as Luke with handles and a jump shot! You honestly think they would shut him down?

Never said they would shut him down, he'd get his. I'm saying he's never faced that physical of play before and he'd be in for a very painful learning curve.

I immediately think of the McHale-Rambis clothesline.

In terms of ability, he's way way up there, but if his career ended today, he wouldn't even sniff top 10. When it's all said and done though, assuming he gets a couple championships and stays relatively injury free, he'll be top 10 for sure.

If his career ends today, he's Dominique Wilkins.

and he'd be able to abuse other SF's on defense too. Larry Bird trying to post up Lebron in the 80's. HA HA!

Hell no. Lebron is a much better player than Wilkins.
