<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>I agree with MELO.JORDAN IS <Censored> OVERATED!Cant you idiots get that through your skull. He had one of the best supporting cast in NBA history and they still almost made the finals by there selves without Jordan.Dont you guys understand hes a ballhog.I caculated his shot attempts per game and its like 24 shot attempts per game for his whole entire career.Jordans overated and the greatest of all time can we just stick with that. You know how many fans are on this guys balls?Just because he won so many championships and was a flashy player. Its the same thing for Kobe,Tmac,AI,VC,LEBRON and freaking more. They're all overated by the fans of there teams.Jordans overated just face it.Please explain how hes not overated when Billions of fans are saying hes the greatest ever and are all on his balls.</div>Were all a little dumber in this thread for being exposed to that. Nykfan, this topic was on the old board, and I don't understand why it's on here again. Everyone is overrated to Primetime. That's his opinion.

Mj is overated i already proved my points in my first post in this topic.Im tired of calling Knick fans idiot just because they got owned by Reggie.....

As I said before, he is overrated, but still the best of all time. Overall skill wise, there have been better than him. hell, even LeBron, a young gun, is a much better passer, playmaker, and rebounder. And he is more of an efficient scorer. But again, intangibles make very good players legends. MJ had the ferocity of a champion, was an amzing defender, could take over games at will, was one of the most clutch players in NBA history, and led his team to 6 championships. So again, while you can say he is not best ever, not considering those intangibles, it is understandable how you can say he is overrated. But, his greatness is not just in his game, which is why he will be THE basketball legend and GOAT until the next big one comes along.
How is LeBron a more efficent scorer? Michael shot over 50% 6 of his seasons, and 49% for his career. LeBron's highest average so far is 48%. So I don't see how LeBron is a more efficent scorer, considering not only did he have lower percentages but MJ also had more scoring moves.Anyhow, I see what you guys are saying now with certain portions of his game being overrated, and him not being AS great as people say, but he is without doubt the best ever.
Bron is more powerful and about as fast. He can get to hoop whenever he wants. MJ's amazing athleticism started to decline in the 1st 3-peat, and by his 2nd he was a jump shooter. Still very efficient, but unless Bron's strength and most athleticism go down the tube, he willm always be slightly more efficient. Also remember, MJ never had to face the kind of zones and defense played these days, nor people as athletic as today. Again, MJ's actual play is extremely overrated except his scoring, but there is no denying everyhting else he did that stats don't show (well, box score stats, anyway).
Again, his playing and skills were very overrated, but the other things are what amde him a legend and by far the GOAT.
wow.........just wow.......this is sad, NYK and peja going at it is just so painful to read. Everything you guys have said is just so idiotic. PLEASE take a second to think before posting.Anyway, I think Jordan is overrated because he wasn't the most skilled player but people always imply that he was. Still without a doubt the best ever, but a tad overrated.
I watched every Bulls game on TV, I don't care how good Scottie Pippen was, Jordan was the greatest thing I have ever seen. Period.
Ok I'm just gonna say this. After hearing guys that said Jordan is overrated, and then hearing that makes everyone overrated in some aspect. What's the point of this thread then? Everyone is overrated. This topic should have died at the old board.

And When Kobe scored 81 points, they said, The Hand Check rules made it so he could do it, and MJ could score 100 with that rule in effect. So Which one is it?It's obviously neither, Defenses have always been great, even in the 80s. IF they werent Joe Dumar's Pistons wouldnt have shut Jordan out to 25% series fg% several times, and they wouldnt have shut out Larry Bird and Magic Johnson. As far as 90s go, How can you say defenses werent as good? 90s was defensive basketball at its purest, It was a mucher slow game, probably even more then today, and there has never been more players who deserved a DPOY award each season. Look at that all-defensive team for that era and find me a better one. If anything it was at least as difficult to score that many points.G-Gary PaytonG-Michael JordanF-Scottie PippenF-Dennis RodmanC-Dikembe MutomboAs far as today goes, these so-called Zone defenses obviously arent too effective since players like Tony Parker are shooting amazing fg%'s, and who is the best defender? Ben Wallace? In the 90s he'd struggle to make the second team. And todays ''compex defense'' did give Kobe 81 points.
