Center Almost everyone seems to have forgotton this little guy by the name of Bill Russel. 11 rings, end of story. You cant say he had more around him than Kareem and he did have more around him than shaq but 11-3 is more than having a little more around him. My list: 1. Bill Russel 2. Kareem 3. Wilt 4. Shaq Without a doubt shaq is the most dominant center ever but that is because he is playing in an age with no other dominant center. Yao is the second best center in the NBA, no knocks on Yao but most eras he wouldnt be 2nd best in the NBA at his position.

First of all when Wilt played there was no 3 second rule. He could and did camp under the basket all game long. That's the only way anyone could put up the numbers he did. On top of that the biggest guy he faced was B. Russell who was only like 6' 11' and rail thin. Could you imagine what Shaq would do if he could stay in the lane all game long. No one in the league could push him out of his position, hell it's hard to think of two guys who could move his big butt. It always hard to compare eras but the rule changes over the years put Shaq at a disadvantage. Shaq has had to face Hakeem, The Admiral, Duncan, Ewing, Mutumbo, & Ming and a whole lot of other people I didn't mention. Who did Wilt face? Everytime I watch the videos of Wilt palying I don't seeing any other 7 footers. MY list: Shaq Hakeem Wilt Kareem
i think Shaq would handle Wilt if they were in the same era, thats just my opinion though. so yes Shaq = greatest center of all-time in my book
