Is the Eastern Conference really weaker than the West?

    I do believe the East is inferior to the West. The West has the more dominant players and it's overall deeper teamwise. Just look at the records this year. Pretty much every team except a couple, one being the Suns, would have been at least an 8 seed if not better in the East. In fact, the 8 seed Nuggets would have had homecourt in the East with their record. The East may have one the Finals this year, but, their extent of overall consistently good teams ends at 3. The West has at least 5 teams who are consistenly dominant and win 50 games or so. In fact, the first 5 seeds this year in the west had 50 wins and no one was under .500 for the playoffs. East had 2 teams win 50+ and had a couple teams make the playoffs with sub .500 records. I think that alone shows how much better and deeper the West is. The fact that the conference is a lot harder and that there is so many better teams shows it.
