I agree with most of that, MM.

    1. Defense - Stotts put together a wonderful offense for our team. It's time to bring in a genius defensive assistant coach. Perhaps that's offseason priority #1.

    2. Bench - It was absolutely freakin' fugly last season. Our bench will have some scoring punch now that CJ is getting some burn. Hopefully he keeps improving and becomes a super sixth man for us!

    3. Experience - As you stated, they're young. It will come in time.

The team has surpassed my expectations for the season so far. Keep up the good work, guys!

Question - Is there a chance we could miss the playoffs?

Answer - Yes, but I think it's unlikely to happen. Stotts and company need to re-load and come out blastin' after the all-star break!

NOT TRUE. If playoffs are today, yes, we'd be fifth seed but since we have better win percentage than Clippers, we would have HCA against them in the first round.

Division winner would get home court, I think? Right now the Clips are in 1st in the Pacific, giving them home court against us.

Not that it matters AT ALL because it's not even the all star break yet

Not true. The team with the better record gets HCA no matter what.

Is it for seeding then? would LAC get the third seed? I know it counts for something.

I really thought our defense would improve as the season went on, not get worse and worse and worse.

This season has been difficult to watch, even with all the winning, because I've always held the opinion that defense is much more important than offense. And most of the time, you could barely call what we do "defense". Ridiculously awful defensive coaching and lack of effort from players really get my blood boiling.

huh, I guess not. I just read that it is strictly by record. I can't do the math because I think it would hurt too much, but technically a division winner could miss the playoffs, right?

If that's true, then they've changed the rules, because that never used to be true.

If there's a chance of something negative happening, i wouldn't put it past the Blazers.

    Bump.

Blazers back in 3rd place, 7 games with 23 to play ahead of the 9 seed in the loss column.

No. A division winner is at worst going to be the 4th seed, even though they may not get home court against the 5 seed in that series, or even hypothetically the 8th seed in the next round should #8 upset #1 in the first round.
