<div class="quote_poster">Quoting allnet:</div><div class="quote_post">Fact is mcgrady is the only east supertar not to get past round one...his team never normally gets many wins each season..where most of the other superstars do....the kobe situation is different...the lakers aren't built around kobe..it's around shaq...kobe has not got his own team yet..once he does then i will judge him..and anyway there are in different conferences..if magic were in the west mcgrady wouldn't even make the playoffs...</div> Look at the people that the other superstars have around them.Put a healthy hill and you have more wins and go further in the playoffs. The fact that t-mac has the team built around him makes even more special since he is always getting all the attention doubles and triples and still drops 32 on them. If he had another consistent person who knows how much better they would be.We should find out this year if howard and the others come through. They wouldn't make the playoffs it the west because they have nobody other than t-mac. this year he will have the most talent to work with let's see what happens.
The talent level is not a big difference..and if mcgrady was such a god as some think he would of gone further....and yes we will see how he does this year...i hope he gets far..as it would be a shame to see such a talented and skilled player not to do anything once he gets in the post season
magic are gonna advance this year no questions asked. just adding on to what dirty south was saying, tmac's defense "struggles" because he has to work so hard against double and triple teams and he uses so much energy on offense to give his team a chance to win, then on defense he rests a little.
as it would be a shame to see such a talented and skilled player not to do anything once he gets in the post season[/QUOTE] I agree.
Will see what happens..but there are no sure things in the eastern conference...so saying magic will get past round.."no questions asked" is abit risky...but they should do..and like KG in the west..both mcgrady and garnett have no exuses this time.
Certainly not, NOBODY AT ALL! T-Mac is the reason that I became a Magic fan. I was lost before I got to see him play. I had no favorite player or team. I hate to say it, as much as I love the Magic now, it has 100% to do with McGrady being on the team. If we traded him, I would most likely be a fan of the team he was on. But this will and should NEVER happen. Not for anyone, not even MJ in his prime.
like i've said before, i would only trade him for duncan, if we traded tmac, i would still be a fan of the magic though.
thats harsh, but the magic also had one of the weakest benches and roster (besides mcgrady and gooden) So for mcgrady to even get the magic to the playoffs is defiently a good thing. And i would NEVER take kidd before mcgrady.
