Is there anyway the Blazers sign Kevin Durant?

It was due to their style of play. He likes the idea of players sharing the ball... imagine that.

I think Portland generally does a good job of that. We have a fairly similar style of basketball.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
Adrian Wojnarowski claimed that the Warriors are the front runner if (a big "if") he leaves the Thunder.

As for whether Portland has a chance? All things are possible...except Durant to Portland.

Portland has never been a free agent destination, even when good, they're not particularly good right now (and one of Durant's supposed priorities is the ability to start winning big immediately), he has no (positive) connection to Portland like he does to Washington and Texas and while Portland has some intriguing youth, they're certainly not considered a future juggernaut.

If I were ranking likelihoods of where he ends up, I'd go with:

    1. Thunder
    2. Warriors
    3. Houston
    4. Washington
    5. Dallas
    6. There is no 6

I think the idea that the Lakers will be strong suitors is fanciful Lakers wishcasting. It would be cool if he ended up in Portland, but I think Portland has a better chance of winning the title this year than signing Durant in the off-season.

Of course, if Portland did win the title this year...then they could be 7th on that list.

A lot of celebrities buy houses there, but I suppose Miami isn't crazy based on Pat Riley's ability to pitch and acquire superstars.

I don't give them much of a chance to get him but I will say this...
Imo, if Kevin Durant and Al-Farouq Aminu switched teams, the Blazers record would be better than 40-15. That team just doesn't have any shooters. I honestly think he signs for one year and sees what the organization does. He'll probably talk it over with Westbrook and Ibaka. If all of them want to part ways, that's when he'll decide where to go. If we got to the 6th seed and pushed the Thunder to 7 games, maybe he'll really consider us a potential landing spot.

I don't think he lands in Golden State unless he don't resign Barnes and Ezeli and Speights, and Curry takes a huge pay cut after next year. By doing that he'll also make more money.
I don't actually know if the Lakers are a real landing spot because there are reports they'll get a star every year and they don't get one.
Washington is having a bad year. And I read somewhere Beal is going to have to play with minute restrictions for the rest of his career. I'm not sure it that'll be a huge factor in Durant's decision but I'm sure it will be.
I'm also not sold on any Texas team. If he goes to Houston, that'd be a worse team than the 2012 Thunder that made the finals.

The only team with a long shot chance I think is Miami and maybe New York. Otherwise I think he stays in OKC for at least another year.

my guess is he did that for the same tax reasons that a lot of rich people buy houses in Florida

he's averaging 32 MPG for the season and played 37 in his last game...

It's not yet clear that Oden won't recover and be the better pick.

Durant's won his scoring titles, Oden just needs to win his championship. Almost did with the Heat in 2013-14.

Westbrook, an UFA in one year, and Ibaka....

With CJ turning into an efficient bigtime scorer and Lillard I think we have a better foundation going forward.

Anyone else feel that the Blazers could be a dsrkhorse in the KD race?

Woj said he wants to go to a winning situation and LA basically has no shot.

Depends on the playoffs. If Portland can take out OKC, and then push SA to the limit... then MAYBE.
