Yes thrist is a rip-off Lil Penny. I can be one to say I loved watching Lil Penny commericals, but thirst is awful. His name dosent deserved to even have a capitol "t"
omg i hate that commercial almost as much as the new McDonalds commercial about the Mcgriddles and 11pm and clubs. wtf. yeah i remember lil penny and loved him. chris rock was great. spike lee was great. tyra was great. it was orginal. and it funny. from the first time i saw "thrist" i knew they were biting lil penny. and they do it so blatantly too. it's ridiculous. yeah i know some commercials are "inspired" by older ones... but this is as bad as McDonalds using a mexican chawawa as a spokesman! (ala: yo quero Taco Bell) the only thing i've ever found funny about the commercial was when i saw it in a theater full of people....... and not one person laughed. they were jus like eh. then i laughed cuz of the reaction.... "throw it in reverse for thirst" "oh now this is gonna get interesting" and the one where he crys cuz of the sprite machine... wtf? sprite has made good comercials in the past (remember grant hill's?) and you gotta love lebron for doing his thing.... but these commercials aren't only bad... but they irritate the hell outta me. the guy who plays Thirst's voice is irritating. i've seen the guy behind the voice and he's corney and a cheap immitation of chris rock. i've always hated him as a comic. the set-ups are dumb. the writing is amaturish... and i wanna change the channel everytime i see em...

Thirst is annoying. The Miller commercial is REALLY lame except the making up words part. The McDonalds commercial (all of them) makes me want to punch the TV. There aren't any good commericals out I miss that Carl Jr. commercial with the girl on that rodeo horsey I think Carl makes pretty good commercials.
People may really hate this one but the one he has with Swiss Beats I like alot. Ahhh, with the boombox.
That 7 Up commercial is funny,the 7 up guy drove a truck with a Basketball rim on the back of it and if you dunked it you would win $1,000,000 pretty fuuny stuff.I love Jordan commercials the Huarache 2K4 commercials are pretty cool to.

Ugh, I'm really not a fan of those Thirst commercials at all. I find them extremely irritating and that annoying voice they use does not help in any way. :thumbsdow
Horrible...Horrible commercial. I mean who wants to see a little doll on TV talking? Not me... BTW...You want to see a real basketball advertisement? Check out adidas KG commercial...its freaken great!

SLAM magazine said it best "hey lebron, if you have any say in the matter, can you get sprite to kill off that fake a** Li'l Penny in your ads?" Li'l penny was tight. the best commercial was a few years ago when those little boys were on a basketball team and were upset cuz one player couldnt come. then kobe was at the park and offered to play and the kids said "are you any good?" and he was like "im not bad" it was so cute when one boy said "hey, if we win this thing, we get to go to mcdonalds.. so dont mess up" and kobe smiled and said ok. that's my fave
Thirst sucks he doesn't even open his mouth to talk, He's not funny, I like sprite but they messed it up with thirst don't even compare him with lil' penny that's against humanity rules. It's all about those adidas commmercials where they put Michael Vick playing with Colorado avalanche, and some others players playing differnet sports.
Urlacher is Vick's linemate in that commercial. Andre Aggasi plays for the Red Sox, Marion Jones is a gymnist and Randy johnson is a BOWLER!

But Nike aways comes up with the best ad campaigns, thats one reason why they sell the most kicks etc. Plus they always get the very best athletes in each sport.
