That Chuck is why you don't get your pecker all hard over a winning streak. This team is still flawed. Especially on draws.

At some point they have to stop shitting the bed against the top teams in the East. This is going to be 0-6 against Tampa and the Islanders.

Yeah, we lost to the Isles, we suck and can never beat them...season over...LOL. That is one of the worst periods we played all season. That's it. Not much else to say.

Not season over but if they want to catch the Islanders this is not how you do so.

How have they done against the Pens? And Habs? They beat the Caps.

I have a very strong feeling this board will be unreadable the next 2 days. We win 13 of 14 crickets in here. We lose a game to the Isles and watch the board explode...LOL. Can't make it up.

We need another top 9 forward, which I have been saying ALL SEASON. Hopefully we'll add that player.

We are 7 points behind them with 3 games in hand...I am pretty confident we can make that up with 42 games left.

I was just making a simple point. Against the two first plays teams in the East it's going to be 0-6.

It just magnifies elements they're missing which is good in a way as maybe they'll act to fix it.

Deep teams like the Islanders and Tampa certainly expose the need for a bigger body or two.

It dosen't even matter if they catch the Isles, just staying ahead of the Caps in 3rd is more important. If they happen to catch them even better.

Agreed Mess. They also beat most of the best teams in the West. I am not going to draw some big conclusion about it.

Just like I said when we are winning every game, I will say the same thing now, we need another top 9 forward to be a legit SC team. Win or lose tonight I feel that way. Cannot get too high or too low. Sports will smack you around if you do.

A game like tonight. a period like the 2nd really, puts things back in focus. Not bad to have those every now and then in the regular season.

And as sc said, periods like that hopefully will give AV and Sather a little push to make sure they add a bigger top 9 forward. We need it badly to be a legit SC team IMO.

And the faceoffs never bothered me, but it is getting out of hand now, we are losing every single faceoff it seems.

a big forward and faceofff man needed plus a big physical d-men. No one can clear the crease on this team.

You are not getting all that Step. To me the biggest need is a bigger top 9 forward. That is my focus.

I think our D is fine. No doubt one of the best units 1-6 and 1-4.

The common theme in these losses to TB and the Isles is they get people around the net for putbacks. The Rangers cant really do that.

This could be a rough couple of days also. Boston is playing great right now. Never easy to win at CBL. And obviously never easy to win in Pitt. Could be a rough little stretch here.

When you look at our 3rd line it is crystal clear we need another top 9 forward. A 3rd line of Hags/Hayes/Fast is just not good enough game in and game out. I have pounded that drum all season, and I think it is pretty clear we need that.

I don't think I have seen us score a putback goal all season.

If Brass hits a wide open net in the 1st who knows how this plays out. He didn't and we had a terrible 2nd period. Is what it is.

Just like you cannot go over the top about a winning streak, you need to be honest about what you still need to win it all, you cannot go over the top about a bad period tonight.

It might actually be better to get a WC and face Pitt if possible and let someone else try taking out the Isles first.
