I hate penalties like that. Less than 10 to go in the third of a 1-1 tie, and they call somthing like that.
And if any doubt that staal is officially back tonight officially erases them. Played a tremendous game defensively and offensively and was even feisty around the net throwing some lefts and rights. Henrik has never played better with a million tough saves in front and on deflections. Curious that Mr. 6 million dollar man to be was invisible once again.
This team is improving by leaps and bounds every game. Love the way they move the puck and never go into the god damn defensive shell once they get a lead. Brass played a nice game as well as frodo tonight also. Small sample size but a little disappointed by klein so far. Knew he would be inept offensively but I expect him to hit hard and play decent defense which so far he hasn't. Hopefully just still getting used to his new team.
Really starting to hate this olympic break coming up for a few weeks as we look like a finely tuned machine.
Taking two out of three before the break would be huge and really set this team up nicely for the last quarter of the season. The most realistic goal would be the third seed when they come out of the break.
Am I the only one who thought Tavaras should have gotten more than 2 minutes for that vicious 2 handed slash on hags at the end of the game where he tried to break his hand? Will be surprised if nothing broken. Worse in my mind than the one that got graves suspended in the playoffs years ago for breaking mario's hand. Just out of frustration but deserves a league review.
Cally did pick up an assist on the Richards goal but he looks like he's just going through the motions. Can't remember the last time he threw a big body check. Kline seems to be a smaller, less physical version of Girardi. Great win again, more concerned with Hank being overplayed in the Olympics. Callahan is on crack if he turned down 5 yrs/$30 mil, much too generous of Glen.
