My favorite Honeymooners show: Cramden enters a name that tune contest has Norton playing tunes for him to guess. To warm up a session Norton would play "Swanee River, which Cramden hated. At show time Cramden talked trash telling the audience hw was prepared and ready to go all the way for the big prize. The first song played was Swanee River which Cramden did not no winding up with a huge dose of humble pie. Gleason was top of the line in that show with excellent facial and vocal expressions every time he got caught in a less than good situation. Too the moon Alice, pow right in the kisser.

Mind is the one where Ralph decides to take Alice (also Norton & Trixie) to a sock-hop & roller skating. And the golfing episode has to be right there also.

...Honeymooners was great...I also enjoyed the "Jackie Gleason Show"...they used to do redo old Honeymooners skits among other things...Joe The Bartender.... Reginald Van Gleason III ... Charlie Bratten...Rum Dum...Fenwick Babbitt...The Bachelor ... Rudy the Repairman...Poor Soul.

...Gleason was also great in The Hustler...he and Newman were actually very good pool players.

Aside from the honeymooners I think the first movie I actually saw him in was Gigot where he played a mute (excellent performance) Than of course it was the Hustler & a few years later "Soldier in the rain" with Steve McQueen. But yeah, he was known to be an excellent pool player.

    Yep, Yanx #1 always

    #2- SF Giants
    #3 NY Giants - NFL
    #4 NY Jets - NFL
    #5- Celtics - NBA
    #6- Brooklyn Nets - NBA

I won't count the Knicks of the 60s-70s, 76'ers, or Islanders, Rangers, NJ Devils, as well as Rutgers, St. John's, Columbia, (all sports); and, any Little Lg Teams....

Unfortunately I'm a Knicks fan but Brooklyn is also equally pathetic this season.

I think they easily win The Championship, but in a 7 game series you never know.
