I just hope Tom Donahoe is able to get a conditional 2nd rounder for him. He'll bring his share of headaches to the team (fumbling, dropped passes here and there), but he'll get tough yardage for you, and he'll never go down at first contact. He's a powerful little back - you'll like him.
Henry probly wont get traded untill the Jags see how Fred Taylors injury is. If he havin trouble making cuts, they will trade for him, but there is no point in trading a 2nd round pick if Fred Taylor comes back in the same condition as last year
Fred Taylor's injury is worse then what was previously thought - in fact the deal has been said to be all but done.
good deal for the Jags. Taylor and Henry are both going to be a great threat in the backfield. I think Henry will start just based on the fact that Taylor is hurt and can't stay healthy. Of course this is assuming that it is pretty much a done deal like someone said.
i could see he jags getting him for a 3rd round pick that would a good trade, but 2nd round picks are valuable. You can get a lot of great players in the 2nd round
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (porky88)</div><div class='quotemain'>Yea but you can't get players the caliber of Travis Henry.</div> huh? You can get players WAY better than henry
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (tko51)</div><div class='quotemain'>Henry was a 2nd round choice out of Tennessee.</div> You can still get way better players than him. He is not a great player or a top 15 back. So by trading for him you have a undersized back, who isnt consitent, and is less productive than half of the backs in the league. So you still need to upgrade position, and that is why he is not worth a 2nd. I think a 5th is what he is worth

You can get players WAY better than henry</div> In the 2nd rnd. Not many teams find 1500 yard backs in the 2nd rnd. There are 32 teams in the NFL and not all of there draft picks pan out. Henry is already proven and young. With your pick in the 2nd rnd your going to get a rookie that will struggle and hopefully come on next season. Henry can come in RIGHT Now and be a healthy RB that the Jags need. So to say you can get players WAY better than Henry is a false statement.

Also I'm not sure where anyone saw this is a "done deal" because the titans are still reporting no progress on the henry front meaning they are still in the hunt...I haven't read anywhere that this deal is all but done...

He has had 2 pro bowl seasons and has proven to be an elite back when healthy. He is not that prone to injury at all. It's football players get banged up. No where near proned like Fred Taylor who seems to get hurt every year. It is highly unlikely the Jags find a player as good as Henry in the 2nd rnd. Especially at runningback. I agree with you on the "done deal" Since on Sportscenter they said the Bills are having trouble dealing Henry.
i would say great deal with a 3rd round pick because the jaguars dont have much depth at RB. but 2nd round pick you could get the next Portis, or another great player.
Edge and Alexander are available for a 2nd, so no one is going to pay that for henry. That is what bills were asking since last year. I am sure his unwillingness to play a limited role, the fact he hasnt played much recently have only increased his value. Bills should ask for 2 1sts and a 3rd.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (panthersare#1)</div><div class='quotemain'>2 1st round picks and a 3rd??? Henry better rush for 2000 yards if you think that is a good deal</div> sorry that was sarcasm
