<div class="quote_poster">Quoting bruin007:</div><div class="quote_post">shannon brown = corey maggette... didnt orlando draft corey then send him to seattle?</div> Well Seattle drafted him and sent him to Orlando(for Horace Grant), then he played for the "Heart and Hustle" year, then we traded him to the Clilppers so we can get capspace for Hill/Tmac.
Just to update all the Magic fans on Brown, it looks like he is now firmly on the radar for the #11 pick. GM's and scouts apparently didn't pay as much attention to him during his brief tenure at Michigan State as they should have, because all of a sudden they're finding out in workouts his positive attributes that would have been obvious to anyone who did any scouting on him during the season (ie: his athleticism, his huge hands and arms, his frame, his explosiveness, his consistent jumper, etc.). He really impressed the Celtics, destroying the competition in sprints (including Marcus "Laptop" Williams) and was one lap short of breaking their all-time record, plus he's a good friend of Doc Rivers, as an alumni of the same high school. He also had very successful workouts with other teams picking either lottery or mid-first round, and the reviews have all been pretty much consensus that at this point, a lottery pick is his to loose (source: ESPN Insider). At the very worst, he'd slip to the late teens to a team like Indiana, Washington, or Sacramento, but it's more likely that he goes to a team like Boston, Golden State, Seattle, Orlando, New Orleans, Utah, or Chicago.
