I read the local paper this morning, and due to my current location, I got some useful insight on why most Chinese basketball fans lack real understanding of the game. What the media in China have said is that Swift will be part of a lethal 'MSM' combination and he would be the one to put the Rockets over the top as contenders. They praised Swift's defense and rebounding (both false), and described him as a superstar with a myriad of low post skills (which he doesn't). I believe that media in China and probably in Europe as well need to be following the NBA more and get more knowledgeable journalists to cover the NBA.
