Which was, of course, the OP's intent. Don't be so easily manipulated.

What is wrong with this thread? Is the OP lying? Are Jamal, Camby, Wallace, Felton not free agents?

might as well trade the players now while they're still able to walk.

Well yes those guys can be free agents, but stating as a fact that its too bad we won't be able to resign our free agents is misleading. The team can resign all of them or some of them.

I mean I could walk into work tomorrow and say, HEY ALL IT SUCKS THAT THIS IS POSSIBLY MY LAST DAY WORKING HERE, because my job is at will by both employee or employer that would technically be correct, it would be misleading for me to say that to all my coworkers or customers.

Crawford and Wallace both have player options. So, they may, or may not be free agents. It's not a done deal one way or the other.

The problem with the OP is he exaggerates and is deliberately overly negative to bait other posters to respond. It's what got him banned previously under his old username and now he's right back up to his same old tricks.

"It really sucks that most of these guys wont be here next october."

That's a HUGE worst case assumption. He assumes everyone who can leave will - in spite of the fact that we hold Bird rights on most of these guys and can offer them more money and more years than any other team.

"I realize we cna bring in other players but losing Wallace (or Batum) Camby, Crawford and maybe Felton will hurt "

Again, a huge worst case assumption. Maybe, MAYBE, we might need to let one of these guys walk to have enough money to resign the others. Maybe not. But, to assume we will lose them all is deliberately assinine.

When did it get decided that this is simply Mixum's alt account? I frankly don't see much similarity ... and I think dismissing the topic out of hand because of that assumption is a pretty thin argument.

I thought the same thing. Plus, did it really take 200 words to express the latest conspiracy theory?

Back to the topic, The big decision, IMO, is on Batum/Wallace. It seems like a one or the other dilemma, and I think that we'll get some clarity on it by the trade deadline.

Really? If that's the case, he should still be banned, although I never agreed with the initial banning. I thought this thread was a decent thread, though, and only one poster seemed to get upset over. That would be the same poster who has multiple posters on ignore, and the same poster who struggles when other posters challenge his thoughts at times.

    :)

I have a feeling mixum in person is actually a swell guy. I bet he's as energetic in person as other fans in here. But back to the topic......

Now is the time to trade all our players before their value is high. We can build in the draft people! Let the cake bake!

You're so artificially polite when you write your autobiography! You left out your motto in life--always make an argument over an issue personal.

I think Mixum is turning into the Blazers' fan community Bogeyman.

Why don't we jump off that bridge when we get to it? Let's worry about this year for now.

IMHO, if this team goes deep into playoffs there is a much better than even chance most of the guys will be back next year. However, I don't think ownership would shell out big bucks for another first round exit.

So maybe the guys should just concentrate on winning as much as they can now? Winning usually solves a lot of problems in sports.
