Wow. That just may be the most idiotic comment I have ever seen posted on these boards. If you truly believe that losing Iverson would result in our scoring average dropping 40 points per game, or even 30.6 points per game (Iverson's average), I'll have to ask you never to share your thoughts again. Really, I'm embarrassed for you.

besides taking the 40 points away you should also consider taking away every shots he took, that means it opens for other people to have more shots so there will be not much different in the scoring. It is also the same as saying that if Iverson playing for Phoenix then they will average 150 points per game...

maybe he doesn't have as much knowledge of basketball as you do.. maybe you are the smartest around here in terms of basketball. But that doesn't give you the right to bashing him like that. I, too, am still learning about basketball and that's why i joined this forum.. hoping to gain more knowledge about basketball by discussing it with you "experts". So please refrain from discouraging other people to post their opinion.

    Wowww.....don't be so brutal. [IMG]

No one man is a franchise, so I ask you this. If another player came around that could practically guarantee you at least the Eastern Conference Finals (like a Shaq), but you had to give up A.I. and McKie, would you push the button on that trade or would you feel a certain level of loyalty and keep Iverson and go where ever he took you. I'm curious because sometimes I wonder, if the love for the players should over power the love of the franchise. I've seen posters that just aren't into the Kings as much since Webber left, becuase he was the face of the King franchise.

This is an interesting one, he's not burnt out yet, but as the years goes by, his contract and age increase, his value will decrease even further. The problem is that right now, it's not a certainty that Iverson playing his same game can take a team to a high level, yea he can get them to the playoffs as a low seed, but it's not certain if he can get more.

I think the Sixers should wait one season though, see how things work next season, and then make a decision. If Iverson just wants to stay and continue playing the one man offense thing till he's done, he'll hamper the development of he team, and a lot of the young players.

trade allen Iverson??? What are u on? What planet u living on? Allen Iverson is that franchise and if u don't truly believe that then ur not a true fan on the sixers. Allen Iverson is all heart and thats what the sixers are. They feed off him, he could shoot a little less but thats it.

for all Iverson has done for the franchise, we should keep him and make him a lifetime Sixer...the man gives his all every game...hes responsible for bringing this team back from the depths of obscurity...I think what we need is a more stable post player who can complement Chris and AI...Willie Green/John Salmons could all be trade bait to get us a post player who can score on the block...Maybe it ends up being Dalembert, who knows...this franchise has a bright future with AI and CWebb and the youth of AI2, Korver and Dalembert...

Trade a couple of All-Stars for a player who is still raw? Bad idea, terrible idea in my opinion. I understand that you are looking for are team to build around a young star but please explain to me how Dwight fits that discription at this point or next season. Besides Orlando drafted Howard #1 overall for a reason, they want to invest in him. When is the last time you heard of trading a number one pick a couple of years after drafting him, that doesn't happen very often and probably won't anytime soon.

Will never happen why Trade 2 big names for a rookie who is not even half good as c-webb not to talk about Iverson that would be a bad trade and the sixers wont give iverson for francise and dwight doesent even fit in the picture not to be mean or anything... but thats ture imo
