Wow! Is this another Gary Trent and Anfernee Simons draft??

I know it's only one summer league game, but I was impressed by his play.

J-Walker certainly shot it well. Decent defense and as much poise as anyone else out there. #gem

he looks like the prototypical stretch four offensively except maybe he can defend a bit more. He was a good rebounder in college too looking at his numbers and that usually translates. He does look like hes got a little extra fat on him though (12% body fat.) Should probably tighten that up since it doesn't look like hes gonna be a player that relies on physicality.

I thought he said he did lose some weight. Was that before or after the combine?

Idk, but that was his percentage at the combine. It's not a big deal, I wouldnt say hes fat and there are guys that look outta shape and still ball (Luka, Jokic for example) but it could still help him to shed some of that.

He seemed fluid. Looked like he knew where to be at all times on the court. He just looked like a vet honestly.

There's a lot to like here. He might get rotation minutes at some point.

It's one summer league game, but I'd trust him in an NBA game right now over Brown, and I like Greg, or at least the idea of what he could become. But Jabari plays within himself and if nothing but the rebounding and outside shooting translate, he could be in the rotation as a rookie.

Walker is a good example of a player who can end up just as valuable as a lottery pick depending on how well he develops his 3-point shot. Smith was taken at #3 because he was a better shooter in college. (and defender for that matter) But players like Walker can just as easily catch up with those who were picked higher with a lot of hard work in the Gym. It's not like he was a bad shooter in college.

Based purely on his stats and what I've read, because I never watched him play, it seems his low percentages last year was just a case of him pressing/dealing with more responsibility. Actually if you look at his splits, in the final month and a half of the season he averaged 46% on three pointers. Mix that with his solid free throw percentage and I'm optimistic he will be a good shooter in the nba.

I liked what I saw from him. He might be able to contribute a little off the bench this year.
