Less than a year ago some analysts had him as a lottery pick

That isn’t what I said but let’s be honest.
He isn’t ready this year. No way.

Let's be honest, we don't have a fucking clue how ready the guy is and anyone who says they do is kidding themselves.

I've seen tons of people saying they were high on him. Why did he fall all the way to #57 ?

Legalized weed where he went to college left scouts unsure if they were high on him or just high.

To quote some people who were doing pre-draft big boards, and were making changes in their boards as the draft got closer, "it wasn't that I liked him less, it was that I liked other players more."
    Maybe that's what happened.

Who knows, but the three guys selected in front of him were all draft and stashes. Seemed to be quite a few of those in the second. That probably “helped” him fall.

Hasn’t played in over a year and out of High School. Currently two months from training camp and just diagnosed with a torn Labrum in his shooting side shoulder.
Will be reevaluated in two weeks.
    Missed all of Summer league.
    Sure we’ve seen plenty.
This kid will be rehabbing for at least the next month and that assumes it’s very slight. They will not chance re-injury. Bet on it.

Anyone being even remotely honest knows this kid won’t be ready to start the season and most likely will not sniff the court other than garbage time.

Anyone being remotely honest doesn't know shit about his capabilities at the NBA level. Most likely there will be a pretty steep learning curve and I'm not saying that your assumption that it takes him at least a season to be a real contributor will be wrong... what I'm saying is that it's an assumption based on past experience with other players and really has nothing to do with anything that you know about Shaedon because all we know is that he dominated in highschool at both the highschool level and the invitational level agaisnt the top recruits in his class and that his teammates on our SL squad would just laugh when asked about him because of how advanced and freakish they thought he was.

So your speculation might be right, you have history on your side and that's a pretty good tool to rely on but when you act like your opinion is fact you are disregarding that there are outliers who do things that break from precedent.

Well I made it through your first sentence and said “I’m Done”. Yes I do.
    Gonna agree to disagree.
My opinion stands. Sharp will sit on the bench this year until he gets sent to G league to get some run.

When you say "Yes I do." I'm taking that to mean that you do know something about his capabilities at the NBA level. I don't so please point me in the direction of where you got your information about how he does against NBA competition. Honeslty, for me it's a complete unknown so I'd appreciate anything that would illuminate my understanding of this kid and his capabilities or lack thereof.

Way more to it than than. Like I said. Agree to disagree here.
If Sharp is playing meaningful minutes this year other than if they start tanking again I’ll admit I’m wrong and will be very happy to do so.

Have to agree with this. If you've been a Blazer fan for a while you know this is how it's going down. I would like to see him play in the D League when he recovers and join the team down the line. Some spot minutes of garbage time is no good. We have to see if he can go and hopefully he's not made of glass.

I'm confused. You said he hasn't played over and over and then you said "we've seen plenty." Which is it? If he hasn't played since High School, then we haven't seen ANYTHING. But Joe has and he made the pick. Let's see how it all unfolds. Embiid missed the first two seasons of his career and is now a Top 3 MVP candidate.

You're wrong either way. We haven't seen him play more than 5 minutes.

Didn't realize he played at the combine for Edniesha Curry. Probably had multiple supporters on the team.
