Currently there has been interest in Rays pitchers Edwin Jackson and Andy Sonnanstine and start CF BJ Upton. The mets have inquired about both pitchers, but I expect Edwin Jackson to be the only player moved. I love Edwin Jackson, he is cheap and has a 95 mph fastball but has struggled at times giving up big innings. I dont think Sonnanstine should be moved because I compare him to the changeup to the 4 fastballs (Kazmir, Shields, Garza and Price), he is really important in long series because teams see 4 powerful pitchers then Sonnanstine comes with his great control and breaking pitches and some players cannot adjust. I am very against moving BJ upton, I think he is under team control through 2012 and he has been one of the main reasons for the great defense that we played this year. I expect Edwin Jackson to get shipped off for a RF or a closer. Rays also would like to sign Raul Ibanez as a DH.
