Well, that's exactly what his supporters - and Republican politicians - were saying the WOULD do if she won. And they would have done it with guns.

I think the destruction of property is absolutely stupid and uncalled for. And I don't get the point of shutting down streets/freeways. But I absolutely understand the anger and discontent and desire to display those emotions. But let's not pretend that it's a problem with "crazy liberals" when the same thing would be happening on a much more serious scale if the tables were turned. I mean, the "winners" of the election have been destroying property! Racial epithets and swastikas are being spray painted throughout the middle of the country, peoples cars are being smashed simply because of the color of the car owner's skin.

Another good game. This time in meaningful minutes. We know he can shoot but his defensive potential is impressing me. He can move laterally and had some really good defensive possessions tonight, specifically against Gay. Of course he also made some mistakes but that's expected. His all around potential is actually pretty filthy. I bet he could even develop into a decent ball handler. He also has a decent post up game we haven't even seen yet.

Yep. He looked very comfortable on both sides of the court. More minutes for Layman, please.

Biggest compliment I can give him is that he looks like a basketball player. Always seems to know the right thing to do.

Against their bench (and some starters) he looked like he belonged. A little timid, but considering they didn't really run much through him, it's hard to get a really good read on him.

I did like what I saw, and hope he continues to show promise.

    sarcasm

He definitely makes Damian expendable, and is untouchable.

Too bad he had that 3 pt basket wiped away on a suspect offensive foul away from the ball.

He kind of reminds me of a rookie Tayshaun Prince. Same kind of build, similarly unheralded, same kind of unremarkable-yet-competent offensive game, complimentary role player who just kind of fits in at the small forward position. Hard to say he has Prince's defensive instincts with so few minutes, but he didn't seem like a total fuck up, which is a good sign for a second round rookie in his first real minutes against a pretty accomplished SF in Gay.

He was fine yesterday, I like how comfortable he looks out there. He is not quite there yet but we got him for next to nothing and nobody even gave him much thought in the Summer and he looks like the best of the new three signings - Ezeli is not there at all, Turner has been bad and Layman has shown glimpses of quality.

He needs more minutes, plain and simple.

I thought he moved well defensively also....especially one-on-one. He got caught in screens a few times and too far off his man on the weak side once but when he was man up on his guy, I thought he played quite well.

It sucks they wiped out his first '3', but there were several times he was wide open and Turner or CJ refused to even look at him. CJ was shooting well so that is more understandable but Turner? I do wish CJ weren't such an isolation/black hole even though there are times he gets on a role that way. It just keeps team mates from getting a rhythm and this team needs a 3rd scorer so they don't have such a hard time beating bad teams like the Kings on the 2nd night of a back-to-back on the road.

I didn't get Stotts in the 4th. Jake deflected a pass and caused a turnover for the Kings so Terry pulls him out right away while Turner stays on the floor where he continues to poop everywhere.

Exactly. His 2nd half run was what, 2 minutes and 40 seconds? Kind of tough to get a rhythm in that time.

    Money, money, money

You gotta understand a lot of these rotations are also going to be based on who gets paid more.

I know technically that's not right but when one player is getting paid 18M a year and the other half a million bucks, most likely your going to keep trying to play the more expensive guy

Layman is definitely earning PT, but he's also low man on the totem pole.

I can see why, after committing so much money to Turner, we have to see if we can make him work.

I can't remember who said it in here recently (different thread I think) but totally agree w/ you (& others:wink:) he's definitely earned playing time & there's no question this guy's a keeper/can really play; however, he won't get the total time he deserves because he's actually good (reason: when it comes time for trades, & they WILL come, pretty much all teams would say they need Jake in the trade to make it work IF he were showcased more; we bury him to hide our treasure!). Jake will see more time because our team will need that (he'll also see the most minutes we can give him in garbage time) BUT he won't get the minutes he deserves because of ^.:smokeone: After the trade/trades... Jake's time should rise :smiley-yup:

Every season Stotts picks a rookie and throws him into the lineup....this is why we are known as a team that builds from within and a reason I like Stotts....Layman is the next Alan Crabbe who will eventually get rotation minutes
