Ben Gordon had a PER of 12 last year on a crappy Piston's team. Crawford had an 18 PER on a legit Hawks team.
As long as they don't lock themselves into a silly long-term deal with him, I'd be happy to see him added. He has a skill-set that I'm not sure anybody else on the team currently possesses.
Would you take a chance on Paul if we could get Crawford for min mle for one year, and okur? But you would have to give up camby, Batum, oden, Felton, a Johnson and a first rounder?
It impacts the Blazers because i am a Blazer Believer and Since I heard Nate himself say that they want to run more I believe!
He hit 16 FGs in a row in an NBA game.
I think he is one of the few playing right now that have had 50+ for 3 different teams. I think he did it as a Knick, Hawk and Warrior!
Crawford has always been a good guy and a team player. He's built almost exactly like Michael Jordan 6'6", 185lbs (Jordan weighed 195). The thing about him is he's VERY streaky. He'll miss 10 shots in a row and he'll make 10 in a row. He's a career .410 shooter, and .350 from 3pt. He's a volume shooter/scorer. When he misses, it's not by much, though. And when he takes a last second half-court type shot, he hits rim almost every time. The kid has range. He's probably most famous for his crossover dribble, the kind that breaks ankles. He's incredibly quick for being so tall at guard. He always wanted to be the PG, but never really got the chance. He's made some of the most amazing passes, and looks smooth handling the ball and passing it.
I like it. We need a little more depth at guard, and Crawford is capable of playing both guard positions (although not a true point guard).
I just think he could play the 6th man role for the Blazers like Jason Terry does for the Mavs Like Terry's game a lot more though
Crawford is younger than Terry ... so I'm guessing we'd want Crawford instead of Terry who is probably a half-year from the glue factory.
You don't understand the significance of being three years younger in the NBA? Crawford is 31. Terry is 34. Crawford is 6'5. Terry is 6'2 (which is probably generous).
All I did was compare their games and that Terry has been a better player than Crawford Not sure what all the fuss is about And the height difference really isn't an issue at all. Both playing the role of scoring guard, and Terry gets his shot off whenever he wants pretty much. His pull-u jumper is pretty damn good.
