Ken Berger @KBergCBS The Indiana offer Crawford turned down would've allowed him to opt out after this season, making it essentially a one-year deal.

I don't think it's that black and white. In Indy: he gets 5mil/yr, and is on a +.500 team In NY: he gets 2.5mil/yr, is on a +.500 team, and gets to be IN NY (!). In POR: he gets 5mil/yr, is on a +.500 team, and gets to be close to home. I think it comes down to Home + 2.5mil vs. NY
It sounds like his goal is to have a great year and test FA next year. If that's the case, I can definitely see NY being a better fit for him with D'antoni's offense Hoping he come to Portland though
indiana gave him the opt out though..... so i think iys gotta be knicks or pdx. i doubt la tweets that if it isnt close!
After Amare and Melo they have nothing. They desperately need another scorer. Next closest thing is Bibby, but that's not saying much
Great Breakdown, Thanks. oops, I knew I should have looked that up. So from the PT/Attention stand-point nod goes to the Knicks. Maybe, maybe not. But without a doubt the Blazers are a better squad overall, just in a better conference. That said, when Oden comes back for the playoff's we'll be much better poised to make a run than the Knicks IMO.
And Don't forget, Jamal Crawford already had a long stint in NYC, and they traded his a$$ away. After hearing that he rejected the Pacers offer (a solid up and comer), I'd say he's homeward bound.
Yes, as an objective observer I think he would have more PT and larger role in NY. He has to compete with Batum and Wes for minutes and may be a backup. On NY he would start and probably get over 30mpg. But NBA players are very overconfident of themselves, so he probably just assumes he’ll get plenty of PT since he thinks he’s such a bad ass stud.
Gotta say, it's pretty cool to have LA openly recruiting for us. Really taking ownership of the team now.
jquick: Agent Andy Miller confirms Portland's interest in guard Jamal Crawford. They have offered 2 years, $10 million. Crawford considering nice
