Yeah to the celtics damn. That would have made this the perfect draft. Mabye another trade will happen though we will see. ANyway he will be a huge help for the celtics or w/e nba team he goes to. Now all the players being selected are foreign players. The last two players have been european people.

I now kinda think that maybe orlando should go with Emeka and do the Phoenix trade (if they'd get JJ)..
    Cause than it'd be like

    Okafor/Hunter
    Gooden/2nd round pick?/Garrity(?)
    Marion/Garrity/Hill/Stevenson
    JJ/Stevenson
    Nelson/Hill

    man... [IMG]

The Magic might actually look like a good team this year with Dwight Howard and Jameer. Now if they complete that trade with the rockets and since they Steve Francis doesnt want to stay in orlando. Great trading bait. Looks like a great starting lineup

Am i the ONLY guy that doesnt like this pick? Why do you all think the guy is a starting point guard material. I dont see him being more than a guy that will come off the bench..

Weisbrod is really messing up this franchise... I am sorry, and I hope I eat my words.. But I do not like these moves..

He has proven everyone wrong since high school when people said he was to small. He will perform great he may be small but he is built. I love his personality and work ethic and is a great person loved him since his first year at saint joes. He will do well. Hopefully.

Well now teams have only 2 minutes to make there selection when in the first they had 5 so it will go by faster. You can just sleep and see the results tomorrow since it is the second round none of these guys are guarenteed contracts. Alot wont make the teams they are drafted by so it isnt really something you need to pay attention to I am watching because I want to see everything.

this is confusing, why would you waste a future round 1st pick on Nelson, if your getting francis? [IMG]

The deal for francis isnt official yet. Nelson is by far the best point guard in this draft. Even if francis desides he wants to play here he is not a pure point guard. Jameer is. Also francis has not indicated he will stay with us if the trade goes down. He is going to meet with team officials tomorrow to talk about his future.

If Nelson performs, don't be suprised to see us move over the Franchise to the 2 position and have a small lineup with Mobley at the SF spot. I like this move, we have been needing a pure PG that would pass 1st and set Tmac up, but now that we don't have Tmac. I wonder if there is anyway he would stay now, because Weis is looking like he's trying to improve us fast.

No it doesn't Tmac_OwnZ. Why trade a future 1st for a backup PG? Maybe Weis is trying to keep Tmac, then it would be the right choice. We need a starting PG and Jameer gives us that. He would be a perfect fit for Tmac, a pass 1st pg. He would give Tmac the damn rock.

What? well maybe because we won't be a lottery pick next year..but I don't get what you are saying..with that Rockets deal we were left with only Francis..Jameer as a back up would be great.

I don't think it was out pick anyway...

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting OrlandoSentinel:</div><div class="quote_post">To land Nelson, the Magic traded a future conditional first-round pick obtained from the Washington Wizards in 2002 in the trade of Brendan Haywood.</div>

I like the trade. This years draft was very deep, and it may not be so next year.
Now we got the High School and College Player of the Year...

If Orlando doesn't sign a very good veteran Pg over the summer, I'd start Jameer.
