I dont think memphis would be that much greater with Kidd. They would be better, but not a title contender. The could possibly go for some blockbuster trade including gasol. The grizzlies need a PF and i heard that gasol wants out.

The houston idea came up before, and it sounds great. We would be one of the 3 best teams in the league. The rockets have to give yao a big extension though so they really cant handle a big contract.

Clevland could work something out since they need a PF but there isnt that much to offer and same goes with the lakers.

I don't see the Nets trading Jason Kidd, nor do I see him wanting out. Jason Kidd wanted a commitment by the owners to put a championship team together. They listened and that's why the Nets went out and traded for Vince Carter. With Jason Kidd, Vince Carter, and a healthy Richard Jefferson the Nets should have no problem making the playoffs next year. They have a high pick in the draft to add a strong reserve player or starter, and Jason Kidd has always been able to convince free agents to play with him. The Nets are only a few pieces from being a top tier team in the East with Miami, Detroit, Boston, & Indiana. The Heat will only get as far as Shaq can take him, and with his health history and no cap space the Heat might not be as good next year. Detroit could lose their head coach, Larry Brown. Boston might trade Paul Pierce and do some semi-rebuilding. The Pacers should be a lot better next season with Artest back, but how much will they miss Reggie Miller's presence? In the next year or two the East is wide open for a team to get hot at the right moment and get to the Finals. The Nets have some pieces to be that team.
