There is a chance this could be a blessing in disguise. As well as the team went- the offense, and particularly the defense, looked pretty loose and defunct/ineffective at times. Perhaps some new blood and some new wrinkles in the schemes is what is needed to continue to improve next season.
There was a question at the Terry stotts press conference. They asked what Chris's situation this season is. They said it's up to Chris right now. He's driving across country and will have plenty of time to think about it. That to me sounds like offered him a coaching job but will not extend him as a player.

Hopefully they look for a defensive guru to bring in. Tibbetts is that guy right now, but not a true defensive fanatic. Triano seemed to do a great job, but this could be a blessing
Kaman has a lot of skill, and was a nice center in his prime..but these days, you see a lot of "the mind is telling me to do this but the body isn't cooperating".

Yeah, I call bullshit. Mike Rice may not always be politically correct, but I have never heard say anything that can be deemed racist. He may play the part of a drunk uncle, but he's not that stupid. If he did perhaps say something even borderline racist, you know damn well he would have been called out and the front office would have had to address it.
