Hedo was second on the Magic in both total FGA and FGA/G, behind Rashard Lewis and ahead of Dwight Howard in both the regular season and the play-offs. That would have likely changed with the Magic adding Vince Carter. However, since Hedo handles the ball so much, he will likely get more than his fair share of shots no matter where he plays. His 13.3 FGA/G would have put him easily in 3rd on the Blazers behind Roy (16.9) and Aldridge (15.3) and well ahead of Outlaw (10.5). With Outlaw likely gone, there really wouldn't be anyone left on the Blazers who plays enough minutes, takes enough shots, or handles the ball enough to get more shots than Hedo. With the addition of Hedo, Oden would have probably gotten more shots, but I don't see him going from 5.8 FGA/G to 15 FGA/G overnight.

Of course, it's all moot, but I doubt if Hedo choosing Toronto had anything to do with him worried about not getting enough touches.

Yeah.. this option thing just doesn't fly with me.
Hedo would've gotten his 12-15 FGAs here, and gotten a ton of scoring opportunities with teams doubling Brandon, LaMarcus and Greg.
The winning he would've experienced here as a starter I'm sure would make up for the 2-3 FGAs a game more he'd maybe get in Toronto.
He was brought in to be the second best playmaker when Brandon was on the floor, and probably the go-to playmaker when Brandon was on the bench.
And who knows? If he played well, he could've been our second option behind Brandon.

Hedo is not going to suddenly jack up 25 FGAs a game in Toronto. That's not his game. I'm sure he could if he wanted to prove this point of being 'the man', but I doubt it.
