If you had told me a few hours ago the Warriors would have two starters out, shoot 40% from the field and 65% from the line and win, I'd have had you committed. What a whacky world it is some days. They just outrebounded the best rebounding team in the NBA, that's amazing. And Utah can't go to that overused "we were coming off a back-to-back" excuse either because so were the Warriors.
Man I can figure out the Warriors. They give up 140 to the Nuggets yesterday and keep the Jazz to 78 points. Got to love Murph and Beans getting 12 and 17 rebounds respectively. If both of them play as aggressive getting rebounds we should be ok.
Wow, great game. Don Nelson totally exposed the Jazz; the key was the zone defense. We played 2-3 zone against their starting frontline and collapsed hard whenever the ball was inside, hacking and contesting anyone holding the ball in the paint. That in turn lured Utah into taking 27 3's but they only hit 8. I notice we also played 3-2 zone against their lineups with their backup bigs who really can't do anything on offense and we suffocated their guards on the perimeter. That being said, our frontline was GREAT. Biedrins with 14 pts, 17 reb, 2 stl, 5 blk, 4-5 FT. Murphy with 15 pts, 12 rebs, 5 ast, 5 stl, 3 blk. Barnes had 24 pts, 7 reb, 2 stl. Richardson didnt score well but contributed 6 boards, 6 assists, and 3 blocks, Ellis had a solid all-around game and we didn't get much production from anyone else. Great win.
I can't wait to see the Warriors at full strengh to see how they mesh and play together but they are giving a better effort than last year even in the loses. 1 1/2 out first place and it's allready past Thanksgiven.
<font size=""3"">YES!! The only teams that beat the Jazz are the Warriors and the Nets!!!
Or just about any Eastern team beating Western team excluding Warriors. 14th seed Seattle will be a division winner in Atlantic division, and while 8-6 Warriors are tied with Hornets for PO, 5-8 teams are making PO in East...

It's good to hear the frontline was playing some hard D for once. Murphy actually collapsed and played D huh? And will Barnes get some more PT now?

jason voorhees Wrote

Nice report BJM. It's good to hear the frontline was playing some hard D for once. He and Biedrins did a good job of putting a body on the Jazz bigs which helped to prevent inside passes (this is where Murphy got mot of his steals) and if the ball did get inside then everyone collapsed hard and pressured ruthlessly on the ball. Because of the great help you didn't have to see Murphy (or Biedrins) go on one on in the post with Okur or Boozer, if they got the ball near the paint it was going nowhere and was quickly kicked back to a guard. This game will probably buy Barnes some more time but hes got to continue to produce if he wants to keep getting playing time. As long as he keeps hitting the glass, playing good defense, and hustling on offense to get easy looks he should keep playing.
Yeah, Barnes and Biedrins were the best players on the floor. Barnes always plays tough, aggresive, and with a lot of energy. he also makes good decisions, can guard both smaller and larger players, and doesn't make too many bone-headed plays, unlike some other Warriors. He's lithe, active around the rim, and can finish. He's ben one of the best GS players lately. Oh, and Beans. He's the next Wilt Chamberlin!
CR2 -- Comcast was showing the game dude -- on FSN+ (plus) channel 410. Don't you have a converter box? They just phoned us an automated call that said to bring our old box in for a new "all digital" box. We did that, and I just watched the game on 410. If you don't have the new box you should call the company for a swap.

Man, Murphy and Biedrins really dominated on the glass and put up a lot of blocks. Damn that is pretty sweet. Dunleavy didn't do much but it looked like he was always at the center of the fastbreak on the highlight reels. He must have gotten a few assists. If our Big dudes can play that well defensively, dominate the rebounds and play very efficiently, I don't see why we can't make the playoffs. But, then again we go back to normal warriors play and teams like the Jazz get a wakeup call that they have to get up for teams like us at home. Kudos to Murphy and Biedrins. Jrich got 4 offensive boards, and 3 blocks. Nice! Murphy got 3 blocks and 5 steals??? Even nicer. That guy hardly does anything blocks or steals. Plus, he got 5 assists. Where the hell did that come from? I think historically it has been the byproduct of having only the options of Foyle or Dunleavy left wide open LOL.

I was at the game today..man i thought Baron was gonna play because i saw him warming up earlier but he never dressed up. Good game thought i must say...towards the end of the game we kept picking up steals and started running. Everyone was active on defense by putting their hands on the ball. I think our only flaw are the free throw shots. but anyways, second time in a row i go to a game and a celebrity comes out! this time it was that girl from danity kane Aubrey O'day wooo is she hot!
Wow, there's so much to talk about from this game. I love the fact that Murphy and Biedrins are developing some chemistry on both sides of the ball. They had a few nice plays in which they passed to one another on a cut for an easy layup. They were also a force on the glass and helped each other out there too (one play I remember specifically was when Biedrins was fighting for a rebound with Kirilenko and tried to tip it to himself about 5 times but Murphy eventually came in and secured the board). Once Baron comes back healthy this team will be absolutely nuts with all the scoring and chemistry, Baron already has great chemistry with Monta, JR, Biedrins, and hes pretty good with Pietrus and Murphy. Add in The chemistry between our two starting bigs plus a guy who can come in and mix it up in the paint (Ike) and we've got quite a potent team. I can't stress enough how Biedrins really is becoming dominant. I think teams will begin to make adjustments by trying to keep him out of the paint more, probably even double teaming him when he has the ball down low. So far though hes been playing like that defensively-dominant and offensively-capable center we've been dreaming about for years. Hes averaging a double-double, he's 3rd in the league in blocks per game, and first in the league in FG%. Hes becoming a legit scoring option in the post and is shooting FTs at an acceptable, and much improved 55%. Plus he DOMINATES the glass on both sides of the ball. All of a sudden our weakest position is now an advantage that we have over most teams.
