    Blazers can match any max salary offer. But they can offer higher step raises than another team. Now. I doubt he's going to be a max-player. In 2028, a max 30% salary slot could start at around 60M (assuming 10% annual increases in the cap; which may or may not be a good assumption)

    my point was that Portland lacking a realistic option of signing him to an extension before he becomes UFA was a negative component of his contract

    To be fair, he never said anything about intent; you simply inferred that. He even said in a subsequent post that "you can't help yourself", which supports the contention that he believes your negativity to be intrinsic and involuntary rather than intentional.

    You should blame your ex-wives for making you this way.

    my ex-wives get some blame, especially the first one

    but he and I have had plenty of....'encounters' here and at RealGM and it's always him attacking me for what he sees as negativity. He even said in that post that if the contracts had been reversed I'd take a different tack, so yeah, he was talking about intent. I've suggested before he should just put me on ignore so I wouldn't irritate him with my tone and intent

    TBH id love to have BClarke on the team, big fan of his - plays hard, never quits, and doesnt need the ball to be useful
